Pietų žemaičių varniškių savojo kalbos varianto vaizdinys: nominacijos ir vertinimai

Abstract

Remiantis geolingvistikos ir perceptyviosios dialektologijos metodologijomis, straipsnyje analizuojamos pietų žemaičių varniškių savojo kalbos varianto nominacijos ir vertinimai. Savojo kalbos varianto atpažinimas grindžiamas paprastojo kalbos bendruomenės nario dialekto kompetencijos (angl. dialect competence) ir dialekto vaizdinio (angl. dialect image) analize. Dialekto kompetencija apima pasąmonėje susiformavusias stereotipines kalbos varianto ar jo vartotojo charakteristikas, o dialekto vaizdinius lemia stereotipiniai kalbinių požymių panašumai ir (ar) skirtumai. Tiriamųjų manymu, pagrindinė ir skiriamoji pietų žemaičių varniškių ypatybė dūnininkavimas būdingas tik pačių vyriausių kalbos bendruomenės narių kalboje, jaunimas ir atsikėlusieji iš kitų vietovių kalba arba su bendrine (arba jai tapačia aukštaičių tarmei) kalba, arba su kitomis žemaičių patarmėmis maišytu kalbos variantu. Būdingiausia ypatybe, pagal kurią atpažįstamas savasis kalbos variantas, įvardijamas galūnių trumpinimas. Geografiniai (erdviniai) atstumai – vienas svarbiausių veiksnių, darančių įtaką savojo kalbos varianto nominavimui: įprastai varniškiai suteikia arba gyvenamosios vietovės, arba administracinio ar savivaldybės centro, į kurį migruojama, pavadinimą. Tiek vyresniosios ir vyriausios kartos varniškių nuostata, kad jaunimas nekalba tarmiškai, tiek jaunesniosios kartos tiriamųjų savojo kalbos varianto vaizdinio artinimas prie bendrinės kalbos gali rodyti žemaičių varniškių tarminės ir bendrinės kalbos konvergenciją, o apibūdinimai ir nominacijos – tarminio ploto kalbinį heterogeniškumą.
