Billing & Refund Policy

This policy applies to paid SciEEE document-upload subscriptions sold by Lingua intellegens, UAB, company code 304701806, VAT identification number LT100013859610, registered at Dariaus Gerbutavičiaus g. 12-194, Vilnius, Lithuania.

Plans and prices

SciEEE offers monthly subscriptions for document-upload capacity: Starter (€100 per month, 25 uploads), Researcher (€500 per month, 250 uploads), and Organization (€1,000 per month, 1,000 uploads). Each allowance applies to the subscription billing period and is not transferable, redeemable for cash, or carried forward unless we state otherwise.

Taxes and VAT

Displayed plan prices include VAT and other applicable indirect taxes where we are required to collect them. Taxes are calculated at checkout using the billing information and tax identifier you provide. If you are purchasing for a business, provide a valid VAT identification number so the applicable VAT treatment can be determined. You remain responsible for information you provide and for taxes not collected by us where the law makes you responsible.

Payment and renewal

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. There is no free trial. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. Stripe may retry failed payments in accordance with its billing settings; upload access is not available when the subscription is not active. We may use a payment processor to issue invoices and receipts.

Plan changes

You can manage payment details, cancel, and change between available plans through the Stripe customer portal. A plan change takes effect immediately and the charge is prorated for the remaining part of the current billing period. A change in plan can change the available upload allowance immediately.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You retain upload access through that period, subject to these Terms, and the subscription will not renew after it ends.

Refunds

Except where required by applicable law, monthly subscription charges are non-refundable once a billing period has begun. If there has been a billing error, duplicate charge, or a service issue that we cannot reasonably resolve, contact us promptly so we can review it. This policy does not limit any mandatory statutory consumer rights.

Consumer rights

If you are a consumer, you may have statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights. Where you ask for digital services to begin immediately, those rights may be affected only to the extent permitted by applicable law and after any required notices or consents. Nothing in this policy removes rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Disputes and contact

Please contact us before opening a payment dispute so that we can investigate and try to resolve the issue. We may suspend access while a payment dispute is unresolved, to the extent permitted by law.
