2. The game o empi e
Du ing he s udy, Li huanian and La ian sonne s we e analyzed, p onounced in isola ed
RVR- ype syllables: he e R […] lie. [ , j], he la. In o de o compensa e o he lack o
sys ema ic compa a i e sona a esea ch in he Bal ic languages, in 2021-2022 he Li huanian
Language Ins i u e ca ied ou a scien i ic esea ch p ojec "The sound o he Bal ic

and 6 na i e La ians (21-42 AD). The in o man s come om di e en egions o Li huania
and La ia and speak a common language. I he na i e language has an in luence on he

main ained when he da a o all he in o man s a e combined. Each compound is
p onounced h ee imes by he in o man in a neu al in ona ion and a a no mal pace o
speech (speed and in ona ion a e some o he ac o s ha de e mine he occu ence o
[ ] allophones, see Lade oged 2003: 149). In o al, ~1458 RVR compounds we e s udied: 810 Li huanian and 648 La ian. The esul s o he s udy we e published in he jou nal Science and Technology, and we e analyzed in he Mic oso Excel p og am (Volume 13, Mic oso Co po a ion) and he s a is ical calcula ions we e ca ied ou in he SPSS p og am (Volume 22, IBM Co po a ion).
