Hemiplegia is cha ac e ised by inc easing loss o unc ion o

unc ion, ouble speaking, and poo balance. In he wo ld, he e a e
nine cases o hemiplegia o e e y 1000 pe sons. This illness's clinical

Acco ding o Acha ya Cha aka, Pakshagha a is a Va a yadhi, which
means ha i ia ed Va a Dosha con ibu es o i s pa hophysiology.
Since Pakshagha a is Nana a maja Vaa Vyadhi, i is ecommended o
combine Panchaka ma ea men s wi h o al ayu edic d ugs.

Cha aka Saṃhi a. Ayu edic physicians
de eloped nume ous su gical me hods and
d ug composi ions du ing he nex cen u ies
o add ess a b oad spec um o ailmen s. Up
o 80% o Some accoun s claim ha
Ayu eda and o he adi ional ea men s
we e used by Indians. Globally, he
p e alence o noncommunicable illnesses is
inc easing, highligh ing he need o
p e en ion and ea men . Among hese
illnesses is hemiplegia, which esul s in bo h
men al and physical ins abili y. S okes, also
known as ce eb o ascula acciden s, a e he
hi d leading cause o disabili y and he
second leading cause o dea h globally.
Thei p e alence is app oxima ely 9 cases
pe 1000 people.1,2 Hemiplegia is a condi ion
whe e one side o he body is ei he o ally
o pa ially pa alysed; symp oms include
slu ed speech and limb numbness. I is
belie ed ha ce eb al ascula acciden s,
such as ce eb al a e y haemo hage and
h ombosis, a e he main cause o his
disease. This appea ance is compa able o an
Ayu edic condi ion known as
Pakshagha a.3 Acco ding o Acha ya
Maadha a, "saadhyam anyen samyuk am"
indica es ha pakshagha and o he doshas
a e eadily cu ed. Acco ding o Ayu eda,
he p esc ibed ea men s o his illness a e
swedan and snehan. Snehan can be used
ex e nally and in e nally in a numbe o
ways, including moo dha aila, abhyanga,
nasya, as i, and snehapana, depending on
he si ua ion.

1. Hemiplegia:
Pa alysis a ec ing only one side o
he body is known as hemiplegia. Al hough
