1. Discou se Analysis – ocusing on lexical, g amma ical, and s ylis ic ea u es
o media ex s ha encode cul u al meanings (Fai clough, 1995).
2. Con en Analysis – ca ego izing cul u al codes ep esen ed in a sample o
media ex s.
3. Linguocul u ological In e p e a ion – applying he amewo k o cul u al
codes (K asnykh, 2002) o in e p e how cul u e is e lec ed and cons uc ed in
discou se.

• 15 ele ision news ansc ip s
• 15 social media pos s om Twi e and Ins ag am.
The ex s we e selec ed based on hei hema ic ele ance o cul u al issues (e.g.,
na ional iden i y, adi ions, social alues, global e en s).
