In elligence (AI) has eme ged as one o he
mos ans o ma i e echnologies in shaping
human li e. AI sys ems now analyse massi e
da ase s, make p edic ions, ecognize images,
ansla e languages, and au oma e decision-
making a unp eceden ed scales. Despi e hese
ad ancemen s, AI s ill lacks one c i ical
dimension o human in elligence: emo ional
unde s anding.
Emo ional In elligence (EI),
popula ized by Daniel Goleman (1995),
highligh s a ange o skills including sel -
awa eness, empa hy, sel - egula ion, and
e ec i e ela ionship managemen . Unlike
cogni i e in elligence (IQ), which ocuses on
logical easoning and p oblem-sol ing, EI
emphasizes human emo ions as cen al o
decision-making, communica ion, and well-
being.
