(Equise um a ense). Ho se ail in usions ha e a comp ehensi e e ec on he body. They s imula e
he elimina ion o excess luid, which helps manage swelling, and comba in lamma ion in he u ina y
ac . Ho se ail also has gene al onic, hemos a ic, healing, and as ingen p ope ies. I is e ec i e
o cys i is, u e h i is, and swelling caused by kidney dys unc ion o hea ailu e.

Ma e ials and me hods: ou me hods we e s udied o ob ain an alcoholic ex ac om
ho se ail: mace a ion, ac ional mace a ion, pe cola ion, and epe cola ion. All o hese me hods a e
s anda d in he indus ial p oduc ion o alcoholic ex ac s om plan ma e ials. A he end o each
ex ac ion s ep o he en i e p ocess, he esul ing liquids we e combined by g a i y. The emaining
pulp was p essed, and he esul ing ex ac was added o he co esponding ex ac s. The combined
ex ac s we e hen se led a a empe a u e below 10°C o wo days and il e ed.

powde was d ied in a o a y e apo a o a 40-50°C. The s udy was conduc ed using s anda d
me hods, beginning wi h de e mining he op imal p ocess pa ame e s o medicinal plan ma e ial and
culmina ing in es ablishing quali y s anda ds o he inal p oduc . The echnological cha ac e is ics
o medicinal plan ma e ial include such pa ame e s as he deg ee o g inding, pa icle size
dis ibu ion ( ac ional composi ion), bulk densi y (bulk densi y), sol en abso p ion capaci y
(ex ac an abso p ion coe icien ), and ease o mo emen ( lowabili y). Also impo an a e he ime
equi ed o ex ac he ac i e subs ances (ex ac ion du a ion) and he numbe o in e ac ions be ween
he ma e ial and sol en (mul iplici y). To de e mine he op imal deg ee o g inding, a quan i a i e
analysis o he o al annins in he expe imen ally ob ained ex ac s was conduc ed. The quali y o he
ex ac s was assessed based on he d y esidue. Based on hese da a, he epe cola ion me hod was
chosen as he mos e ec i e.
Resul s: he ex ac ion yielded a da k-b own liquid p oduc wi h a g eenish in and a dis inc
odo . This liquid ex ac was hen concen a ed by acuum e apo a ion on a o a y e apo a o . The
inal s ep in ol ed acuum d ying o ob ain a d y ex ac , a hyg oscopic b own powde wi h a esidual
mois u e con en o no mo e han 5% and a cha ac e is ic a oma.
Conclusions: based on he d y esidue con en , he mos op imal ex ac ion me hod was chosen
– epe cola ion, and he mos op imal ex ac an was 40% e hyl alcohol.
