o gans. This si ua ion has inc eased he demand o dosage o ms based on medicinal plan s. In he
S a e Regis e o he Republic o Uzbekis an, Chamomile (Ma ica ia chamomilla), Calendula
(Calendula o icinalis), and S . John’s wo (Hype icum pe o a um) ha e been s udied as medicinal
plan s, and pha macopoeial monog aphs ha e been app o ed o hem. Howe e , no inished dosage

Objec i e. To de elop a complex he bal mix u e and e alua e he quali y o a new liquid ex ac
wi h an i-in lamma o y, analgesic, and an isep ic p ope ies o use in gas oin es inal in lamma o y
diseases.
Ma e ials and me hods. A liquid ex ac was ob ained om local medicinal aw ma e ials—
Chamomile lowe s (Ma ica ia chamomilla), Calendula lowe s (Calendula o icinalis), and he
ae ial pa o S . John’s wo (Hype icum pe o a um)—using he mace a ion me hod. E hanol a
concen a ions o 40% and 70% was used as he ex ac ion sol en . The liquid ex ac s we e e alua ed
o quali y pa ame e s, including o ganolep ic p ope ies (appea ance, odo , as e, colo ), d y esidue,
e hanol con en , au hen ici y, hea y me al con en , and ac i e cons i uen s, in acco dance wi h he
equi emen s o he S a e Pha macopoeia o he Republic o Uzbekis an, 1s edi ion (UzR Ph I), and
o he no ma i e documen s.
Resul s. The liquid ex ac s ob ained om he complex he bal mix u e we e clea , yellow-
b own liquids wi h a cha ac e is ic odo and sligh ly bi e as e. The main ac i e cons i uen s we e
la onoids, which p o ide an i-in lamma o y and an isep ic ac i i y. The ex ac s we e e alua ed o
appea ance, odo , as e, colo , d y esidue, e hanol concen a ion, hea y me al con en , and ac i e
subs ances. The e hanol con en was ound o be 33% in he ex ac ob ained wi h 40% e hanol, and
66% in he ex ac ob ained wi h 70% e hanol. Hea y me al con en was below he pe missible limi
0.01%. The d y esidue anged be ween 5.9–6.8%, co esponding o pha macopoeial equi emen s.

Conclusion. The liquid ex ac s ob ained by mace a ion using 40% and 70% e hanol om a
