Resea ch objec i e: Conduc esea ch on selec ing he composi ion o a me onidazole and

Ma e ials and me hods: Hyd ophilic gel o me s eadily inco po a e la ge quan i ies o d ugs
and con ibu e o hei comple e and uni o m elease, allowing o he egula ion o he
biopha maceu ical and s uc u al-mechanical p ope ies o den al gels wi hin he necessa y ange.
Hyd ophilic gel- o ming agen s include aqueous solu ions o polyme s such as sodium - CMC, MC,
hyd oxye hylcellulose, ca bopol, sodium algina e, gela in, and pec in. The gel- o ming pH o he
abo e-men ioned bases lies in he neu al egion, which is con enien o o al use.
Resul s: A numbe o physicochemical indica o s we e iden i ied, including he appea ance,
homogenei y o he gel, he mal s abili y, pH alue o he solu ion ob ained by aqueous ex ac ion,
and colloidal s abili y. Visual de e mina ion o he gel's appea ance was ca ied ou as ollows: a gel
sample was applied o a slide wi h a hin laye and hen assessed wi h he naked eye. To assess he
homogenei y o he gel, ou samples weighing 0.02-0.03 g we e aken. Each sample was applied o
a slide, co e ed wi h ano he slide, and p essed igh ly o c ea e spo s abou 2 cm in diame e . As a
esul , he absence o pa icles in he s ains indica es ha he p epa ed gel mee s he equi emen s o
he ND. De e mina ion o he pH o he aqueous ex ac o he gel was ca ied ou by he
po en iome ic me hod using he Me le Toledo (Ge many) pH me e . Du ing he measu emen
p ocess, 5.0 g ams o gel we e mixed wi h 50 millili e s o pu i ied wa e and hea ed in a wa e ba h
a 50-60°C, a e which hey we e il e ed h ough a il e wi h whi e ape (TU 6-09-1678-86). The
da a ob ained du ing he expe imen a e p esen ed in he able. De e mina ion o colloidal s abili y.
App oxima ely 3.0-5.0 g o he gel sample was weighed and cen i uged in a CUM cen i uge a 1500
pm o 5 minu es. Gel sepa a ion was no obse ed. To de e mine he he mal s abili y, 5 es ubes
we e aken and illed o 2/3 and placed in a he mos a a a empe a u e o 40-45°C o 24 hou s, hen
he samples we e placed in a e ige a o o 24 hou s a 10-12°C. A e 24 hou s, hey we e kep a
oom empe a u e. When iewed wi h he naked eye, no laye ing o he gel samples was obse ed.
Conclusions: The ob ained esul s show ha he main ad an age o he new sys em - a gel
abso bed in he o al mucosa - is he ease o use, he possibili y o long- e m ac ion, which allows o
a cou se o ea men in he ea men o pe iodon al diseases.The quali y indica o s o he gel we e
