Resea ch Objec i e. The pu pose o his s udy is o examine he measu es aken o mee he
popula ion’s need o a o dable and high-quali y medicines, o es ic he p oduc ion o coun e ei
d ugs, o suppo local manu ac u e s, and o educe impo dependence.

was es ablished. A “ oadmap” o 2024–2025 was app o ed, and unds we e alloca ed o accele a e
new p ojec s. A go e nmen decision da ed Janua y 10, 2024 (PP-14) was adop ed o suppo he
p oduc ion o he mos demanded pha maceu ical p oduc s and new in es men p ojec s, a ac
in es men s, expand he in oduc ion o in e na ional s anda ds such as GMP, and inc ease p oduc ion
olumes. S ic measu es on quali y and sa e y (a e he Ma ion Bio ech case): esponsible o icials
we e punished, compensa ions we e de e mined - his accele a ed he policy o s eng hening con ol
and educing low-quali y impo s.
In he i s qua e o 2025, he Cen al Body o Ce i ica ion o Medical P oduc s o he
Pha maceu ical P oduc s Sa e y Cen e o icially issued 307 ce i ica es o con o mi y o 770 se ies
o medicines, medical de ices, and medical equipmen o aling 119,651,012 condi ional packages.
Addi ionally, 49 se ies o 408,521 condi ional packages o medicines, medical de ices, and
equipmen we e ound o be non-complian wi h egula o y equi emen s. Illegal p oduc ion o
coun e ei d ugs was de ec ed in a ious egions o he coun y. In pa icula , in he Mi zo Ulugbek
dis ic o Tashken , powde ed aw ma e ials used in d ug p epa a ion (180 kg), nea ly 3,000 boxes
o able s and capsules, and 133 bo les o handmade d ugs we e disco e ed. In Kashkada ya egion,
medicines we e being p oduced a home. In Gulis an, 10,481 expi ed medicines and medical de ices
wo h a o al o 435.9 million UZS we e s o ed wi h he in en o sell and we e con isca ed as ma e ial
e idence.
Conclusion. To suppo local manu ac u e s:
- P io i ize GMP-ce i ied domes ic en e p ises in s a e p ocu emen s and long- e m con ac s
(expanding exis ing mechanisms).
- Simpli y as - ack egis a ion and au ho iza ion p ocesses o medicines, especially local
analogues.
