Rele ance. The s udy o medicinal p oduc s con aining psycho opic subs ances should be
ca ied ou using a simple, accessible, and apid me hod - hin-laye ch oma og aphy. The ad an ages

main easons o i s widesp ead use in he expe analysis o nume ous pha maceu ical p oduc s and
complex medicinal mix u es. The TLC me hod o e s signi ican ad an ages o e chemical me hods,
pa icula ly when analyzing mul icomponen d ug mix u es. I enables he sepa a ion and
iden i ica ion o indi idual cons i uen s, as well as subs ances wi h simila chemical s uc u es and
p ope ies.
The aim o ou esea ch is o de elop a me hodology o in es iga ing ce ain psycho opic
subs ances equen ly encoun e ed in o ensic p ac ice using he TLC me hod. The selec ion o a
sol en sys em is ca ied ou aking in o accoun he pola i y o he s udied compounds, as well as he
ac i i y o he so ben . When sepa a ing subs ances wi h simila abso p ion p ope ies, a mix u e o
sol en s loca ed close o each o he in he eluo opic se ies should be used. The con en o he mo e
pola sol en in his mix u e ypically anges om 1 o 10%. The inal choice o sol en sys em is
achie ed h ough expe imen al analysis.
Ma e ials and Me hods. The s udy subjec s we e s anda d solu ions o psycho opic
subs ances o he benzodiazepine se ies. The analysis was pe o med using a labo a o y hin-laye
ch oma og aphy equipmen se consis ing o an ul a iole ligh sou ce (illumina o ), an iodine
chambe , UV-254 silu ol able s, D agendo -Mounie eagen , an MS-10 mic osy inge, a c ucible,
a sp aye , and o ganic sol en s: benzole, e hanol, die hylamine, chlo o o m, and e hyl ace a e.
Psycho opic able s a e g ound o a powde and used o p epa e 0.1% and 0.2% alcohol
solu ions.

Conclusions. A sys em consis ing o benzole - e hanol - die hylamine = 9:1:1 is ideal o he
sepa a ion o psycho opic subs ances - benzodiazepine de i a i es alp azolam, b omazepam,
diazepam, lo azepam. In his case, hei R alues, he colo o he spo s when illumina ed by UV
ays, de eloped in iodine apo and wi h he D agendo eagen we e de e mined.
