Rele ance: The lo a o Uzbekis an is ich and di e se, con aining nume ous a e and endemic
plan species. Among hem, Red-soil As agalus (As agalus e ae ub ae Bu ko ) is a unique
endemic species lis ed in he “Red Book o Uzbekis an.” This plan is dis inguished by i s high con en
o bioac i e compounds such as la onoids, saponins, polysaccha ides, and o ganic acids. These
componen s exhibi ca diop o ec i e, immunos imula o y, and an i-in lamma o y ac i i ies, making
he species a aluable esou ce o pha maceu ical applica ions. Howe e , he p og essi e educ ion
o i s na u al popula ions highligh s he necessi y o employing in i o bio echnological app oaches
o i s conse a ion and la ge-scale p opaga ion.
Aim o he s udy: To de elop e ec i e in i o p opaga ion me hods o Red-soil As agalus,
o in es iga e he in luence o phy oho mones on egene a ion, and o e alua e he pha maceu ical
po en ial o he ob ained plan ma e ial.
Ma e ials and Me hods: S e iliza ion: Seeds and ege a i e explan s we e su ace-s e ilized
wi h e hanol and sodium hypochlo i e solu ions p io o inocula ion. Cul u e medium: MS medium
was supplemen ed wi h a ious concen a ions o BAP, kine in, IAA, and NAA o assess egene a ion
e iciency. Callus induc ion and egene a ion: The ole o cy okinin-auxin balance in o ganogenesis
was e alua ed. Pha maceu ical analysis: Regene a ed plan s we e sc eened o la onoids and
saponins using quali a i e pha macognos ic assays.
Resul s: The combina ion o BAP (1.0 – 2.0 mg/L) + IAA (0.5 mg/L) was he mos e ec i e
o shoo egene a ion, while NAA (0.5 – 1.0 mg/L) p omo ed oo induc ion. The egene a ed plan
ma e ial demons a ed he p esence o la onoids and saponins, con i ming i s pha maceu ical
signi icance.
Conclusions: The in i o p opaga ion o As agalus e ae ub ae Bu ko no only con ibu es
o he conse a ion o his endemic species bu also p o ides a sus ainable sou ce o aluable aw
ma e ial o he pha maceu ical indus y. Due o i s ichness in bioac i e compounds, he plan
ep esen s a p omising candida e o he de elopmen o ca diop o ec i e, immunomodula o y, and
an ioxidan d ugs.
