pH, p o eins, lipids, suga s, o ganic acids, insoluble die a y
ibe , and mine al sal s) was also s udied using classical
me hods and h ough High Pe o mance Liquid
Ch oma og aphy (HPLC), he polyphenols and
ca o enoids we e analyzed by HPLC using C18 and C30
columns, espec i ely and he a oma ic compounds
we e ex ac ed by Solid Phase Mic o-ex ac ion and
analyzed by Gas Ch oma og aphy coupled o Mass
Spec ome y. The esul s o he su eys showed ha 79.2%
a e women, and all esponden s do no know how much
hey consume pe mon h, and hey a e in e es ed in
p ocessed p oduc s. As o d y ma e con en s, hey
anged om 24.71 (0.51) in Mix u e o 20.24 (0.19) g.100 g-
1 in Huíla; NDF ibe s (g.100 g-1 MS) om 20.99 (0.31) o
Mix u e o 15.48 (0.17) o Malanje; he mos p edominan
suga is uc ose wi h le els (g.100 g-1 MS) o 15.98 (0.40)

o he o gans, leading o sepsis. Objec i e: o desc ibe he

in ec ions in he popula ion o he Canâmbua
neighbou hood. Me hodology: he quali a i e and
quan i a i e p ospec i e desc ip i e me hods we e used.
The sample was selec ed using he simple andom
sampling echnique, wi h a sample o 204 indi iduals who
admi ed o using an ibio ics a some poin . Resul s:
emales p edomina ed wi h a pe cen age o 72.6% and
he p edominan age g oup was 18-25 yea s old wi h
46.6%. As o occupa ion, mos we e s uden s wi h 40.2%.
High school g adua es accoun ed o 43.1%. The mos
used an ibio ics we e amoxicillin (53.4%) ollowed by
me onidazole (33.3%), and mos o he sample (77.5%)
had no ad e se e ec s. Conclusions: The da a show ha
mos o he indi iduals ook he ea men because o a

acidi ied ace one. Liquid-liquid ex ac ion was used o
ac iona e he 70% c ude ace one ex ac . To al
phenolic and e penoid con en s we e quan i ied and
LC-MS/MS used o iden i y bioac i e compounds. An i-
bac e ial ac i i y was de e mined using bioau og aphy,
b o h mic o-dilu ion and g ow h cu e assays. Bio ilm
inhibi ion assays we e e alua ed using he c ys al iole

phenolic and e penoid con en s and subsequen ly, he
