Analysis: Cinema ic discou se should be iewed no as a subs i u e o o he o ms o
communica ion, bu as a dis inc and ull- ledged ield o sociolinguis ic esea ch. This
idea migh seem sel -e iden , bu i is impo an o s a e i , especially when a con a y
pe spec i e is applied in his o ical and con empo a y esea ch, i.e., when audio isual
