ABSTRACT: This s udy aims o de elop an in eg a ed educa ional game o in oduce egional musical ins umen s o he Pancasila
S uden P o ile o he cul u al di e si y ma e ial o ou h-g ade elemen a y school. The esea ch model employed Bo g & Gall
Resea ch and De elopmen (R&D), including en s ages: in o ma ion ga he ing, planning, ini ial p oduc de elopmen , expe
alida ion, g adual ials, p oduc e ision, and dissemina ion and implemen a ion.
The s udy esul s indica e ha he de eloped edugame p oduc has a high le el o alidi y. Valida ion by ma e ial expe s ob ained
a sco e o 92% and media expe s ob ained a sco e o 91%, esul ing in an a e age o 92%, ca ego ized as e y easible. The
p ac icali y o he Edugame is assessed as e y good based on he esul s o s uden ials. The ini ial ield ial ob ained a sco e o
87%, he main ield ial 90%, and he ope a ional ield ial 91%, wi h an o e all a e age o 89%, ca ego ized as e y p ac ical.
Thus, his educa ional game in oducing egional musical ins umen s can be used as a alid and p ac ical lea ning medium o
suppo s uden s’ unde s anding o cul u al di e si y while s eng hening hei applica ion o he Pancasila S uden P o ile
dimensions, especially in he a eas o global di e si y, coope a ion, c i ical easoning, independence, and c ea i i y.

I. INTRODUCTION
The cu iculum is a c ucial componen o educa ion because i se es as he p ima y guideline o eache s and s uden s in
designing and implemen ing he lea ning p ocess. Cu iculum changes in Indonesia demons a e an e o o adap o changing
imes, s uden needs, and he demands o globaliza ion (Rahmadayan i & Ha oyo, 2022). One o he mos ecen policy
inno a ions is he Independen Cu iculum, which emphasizes lexibili y, essen ial lea ning, and s eng hening s uden
compe encies o g ea e meaning (Sib on & A gani, 2024). This cu iculum allows eache s o be c ea i e and inno a i e in using
echnology-based lea ning me hods and media (And eani & Gunansyah, 2023).
In he con ex o elemen a y school, ou h-g ade s uden s a e in phase B. The Independen Cu iculum, known as he
golden age o child en’s cogni i e and cha ac e de elopmen (P ase iawan, 2019), is essen ial du ing his pe iod. In addi ion o
honing hinking skills, ins illing alues and cha ac e is essen ial. This aligns wi h he concep o he Pancasila S uden P o ile,
comp ising six dimensions: ai h and noble cha ac e , independence, coope a ion, c i ical hinking, c ea i i y, and global di e si y
(Ap iliani & Romli ipu a, 2024). In eg a ing hese six dimensions in o lea ning can s eng hen s uden s’ holis ic pe sonali y
de elopmen .
Howe e , a ious s udies show ha lea ning in elemen a y schools s ill aces se e al obs acles. Pa icula ly in social s udies,
which includes cul u al di e si y, s uden s end o be less mo i a ed because lea ning me hods a e s ill p edominan ly o e-based,
mono onous, and lack in e ac i i y (Pu i & Nu a ni, 2021). Mo eo e , social s udies is c ucial o ins illing ole ance, coope a ion,
and app ecia ion o he na ion’s cul u al di e si y (Sa i & Khaq, 2023). I le unadd essed, his condi ion can esul in weak s uden
engagemen in lea ning.
Along wi h he de elopmen o digi al echnology, Edugame a e inc easingly being de eloped as inno a i e lea ning media.
Edugame can inc ease s uden mo i a ion by combining en e ainmen and educa ional elemen s and encou aging ac i e s uden
in ol emen in he lea ning p ocess (Cahyani e al., 2022). Fu he mo e, Edugame can also be an e ec i e ool o de eloping
c i ical hinking skills, collabo a ion, and c ea i i y. In he con ex o cul u al educa ion, Edugame can be used o in oduce egional

he Pancasila S uden P o ile, is highly ele an . This medium se es as an in e ac i e lea ning ool and a pla o m o ins ill
cha ac e alues and in oduce Indonesian cul u al di e si y o s uden s om an ea ly age. The e o e, his s udy aims o de elop
an edugame p oduc ha is app op ia e, engaging, and e ec i e o use in cul u al di e si y lea ning in ou h-g ade elemen a y
schools
II. METHOD
This s udy employed a Resea ch and De elopmen (R&D) model ha aims o p oduce a lea ning media p oduc as an
educa ional game in oducing egional musical ins umen s in eg a ed wi h he Pancasila S uden P o ile o cul u al di e si y
ma e ial o ou h-g ade elemen a y school. The esea ch and de elopmen model used e e s o Bo g & Gall, which has been
widely adap ed in educa ional esea ch (Sugiyono, 2019). This model consis s o en main s ages, namely:
1. p elimina y s udy and in o ma ion collec ion ( esea ch and in o ma ion collec ion),
2. planning,
3. de elopmen o p elimina y p oduc design (de elop a p elimina y o m o p oduc ),
4. p elimina y ield es ing,
5. main p oduc e ision,
6. main ield es ing,
7. ope a ional p oduc e ision,
8. ope a ional ield es ing,
9. inal p oduc e ision, and
10. dissemina ion and implemen a ion.
The Edugame p oduc was sys ema ically de eloped h ough hese s ages, s a ing wi h needs iden i ica ion, designing
local cul u e-based con en , c ea ing he applica ion, and inally, alida ion and use ials. Media and con en expe s alida ed
he p oduc o assess i s easibili y, while ield ials we e conduc ed wi h ou h-g ade elemen a y school s uden s.
Da a analysis is used o p oduce lea ning media ha a e sui able o use i hey mee he c i e ia o alidi y and p ac icali y.

III. RESULT AND DISCUSSION
This de elopmen esul ed in digi al-based Edugame lea ning media o in oduce egional musical ins umen s
in eg a ed wi h he Pancasila S uden P o ile in he cul u al di e si y ma e ial o g ade IV elemen a y school. The de elopmen
model employed by Bo g & Gall R&D consis s o 10 s ages.
The i s s age is needs analysis. Field obse a ions and in e iews wi h class oom eache s indica e ha cul u al
di e si y lea ning media cu en ly ely solely on ex books and online ideos. This si ua ion ends o make lea ning mono onous,
non-in e ac i e, and does no os e s uden independence. In ac , he Pancasila S uden P o ile emphasizes he impo ance o
independence, c ea i i y, c i ical hinking, coope a ion, and global di e si y (Kemendikbud is ek, 2021). Analysis o ma e ial in he
ou h-g ade science ex book, Chap e 6, shows ha he con en on adi ional musical ins umen s lacks illus a ions and does
no u ilize in e ac i e media ha can a ac s uden s’ a en ion. The second s age is planning. A his s age, esea che s compiled
he Pancasila S uden P o ile indica o s ha would be in eg a ed, de eloped an edugame s o yboa d, and designed he ini ial
display, consis ing o a main menu, game le els, in e ac i e quizzes, and audio o egional musical ins umen s. This edugame
includes: desc ip ions o musical ins umen s, images, dis inc i e sounds o musical ins umen s, a guess- heins umen quiz, and
a simple leade boa d. The hi d s age is ini ial p oduc de elopmen . The s o yboa d was ealized as an And oid-based applica ion
using an educa ional game de elopmen pla o m. The ini ial p oduc had a simple in e ace wi h a main menu, a lis o egional
musical ins umen s (angklung, gamelan, sasando, i a, and kolin ang), in e ac i e quizzes, and a Pancasila s uden p o ile
displayed in he o m o achie emen badges. The ou h s age was p oduc alida ion. Edugame was alida ed by wo media
expe lec u e s and wo a and cul u e educa ion subjec ma e expe s. The assessmen included he sui abili y o he con en ,
appea ance, in e ac i i y, and in eg a ion o he Pancasila S uden P o ile alues. The i h o eigh h s ages we e ini ial and
ope a ional ield ials. The ials we e conduc ed in s ages wi h ou h-g ade s uden s on a small scale (5 s uden s), medium scale
(10 s uden s), and la ge scale (20 s uden s). The ial esul s showed ha s uden s el mo e mo i a ed o lea n because hey could
di ec ly hea he sounds o musical ins umen s and answe game-based quizzes. The nin h s age was inal e ision. Re isions we e
made by imp o ing he in e ace, adding audio ins uc ions, and cla i ying he desc ip i e ex . The en h s age was dissemina ion.
The p oduc was socialized o eache s and p incipals h ough small wo kshops o implemen Edugame mo e widely in schools.

Edugame is s uc u ed in a s anda d, communica i e, and easy- o-unde s and manne , hus en iching s uden s’ ocabula y. The
p esen a ion o he ma e ial is designed o be a ac i e h ough isual displays, musical symbols, and ins uc ions ha align wi h
he dimensions o he Pancasila S uden P o ile, such as coope a ion, c ea i i y, independence, and c i ical easoning. A ac i e
ma e ial deli e y is belie ed o igge s uden in e es in he lea ning p ocess. This is suppo ed by he indings o Mayasa i e al.
(2021), who con i med ha in e ac i e lea ning media can os e s uden in e es and a en ion.

The o m and con en aspec s ecei ed he highes sco es. Edugame was deemed engaging in o m due o i s in e ac i e isual
design, con as ing colo choices, and use - iendly na iga ion, wi h an a e age indica o sco e o 3.9. Meanwhile, he con en
aspec ob ained a high sco e because he ma e ial p esen ed was app op ia e o he age o elemen a y school s uden s, equipped
wi h con ex ual illus a ions o egional musical ins umen s, as well as lea ning ins uc ions ha we e ele an o he dimensions
o he Pancasila S uden P o ile, such as coope a ion, c ea i i y, and c i ical easoning.
This Edugame display was de eloped o combine local cul u al elemen s wi h digi al echnology ha is mo e ele an o
s uden s’ li es. This aligns wi h Fa ikhasa i’s (2020) opinion ha engaging and in e ac i e isual-based lea ning media can inc ease
s uden engagemen and mo i a ion.

These indings align wi h esea ch by Pe dana e al. (2023), which s a es ha in e ac i e digi al-based lea ning media is mo e
s aigh o wa d o implemen in elemen a y schools because i aligns wi h s uden s’ isual and kines he ic lea ning s yles. O e all,
he a e age pe cen age o appea ance, use, and bene i s is 87%, which alls in o he p ac ical ca ego y.

The indica o wi h he highes sco e indica es ha ou h-g ade s uden s ound he Edugame in oducing egional musical
ins umen s easy o use, and he media helped main ain hei en husiasm.
Meanwhile, he bene i s aspec sco ed high on indica o s o ma e ial unde s anding, game-based lea ning (lea ning by
playing), and g oup lea ning oppo uni ies. The highes indica o o his was s uden s’ ease o unde s anding he cul u al di e si y
con en p esen ed h ough Edugame.
Thus, he de eloped Edugame is easy o use, can help s uden s unde s and he ma e ial mo e e ec i ely, and c ea es a un
lea ning a mosphe e du ing collabo a i e ac i i ies. This aligns wi h Dyani’s (2020) indings, which con i m ha game-based
lea ning media can acili a e s uden unde s anding h ough in e ac i e and enjoyable lea ning expe iences.

Thus, he de eloped Edugame is able o cap u e s uden s’ a en ion and ac i ely engage hem in he lea ning p ocess,
making lea ning mo e enjoyable and meaning ul. This inding aligns wi h Ha nan o’s opinion (in Rahayuningsih e al.,
2019), which s a es ha game-based lea ning media can c ea e a un lea ning en i onmen while inc easing s uden
engagemen .

engaged in he lea ning p ocess. Thus, lea ning is no longe mono onous o bo ing, bu somewha mo e in e ac i e and con ex ual,
in line wi h he objec i es o he Independen Cu iculum. This inding aligns wi h Pu a e al. (2020), who emphasized ha
educa ional game-based lea ning media can di ec ly engage s uden s, c ea ing meaning ul lea ning expe iences.
IV. CONCLUSIONS
The de elopmen o Edugame o he In oduc ion o Regional Musical Ins umen s In eg a ed wi h Pancasila S uden P o iles
in he Cul u al Di e si y Ma e ial o G ade IV Elemen a y Schools was ca ied ou using he Bo g & Gall esea ch and de elopmen
(R&D) model which consis s o en s ages, s a ing om sea ching and collec ing in o ma ion, planning, ini ial p oduc
de elopmen , g adual ials, p oduc e isions, o he dissemina ion and implemen a ion s ages.
Valida ion esul s indica e ha he de eloped Edugame mee s he c i e ia o e y app op ia eness. The assessmen by
ma e ial expe s yielded an a e age sco e o 92%, while he assessmen by media expe s yielded a sco e o 91%, esul ing in an
o e all a e age o 92%. This demons a es ha he de eloped Edugame mee s he needs o lea ning abou cul u al di e si y while
suppo ing he implemen a ion o he Pancasila S uden P o ile dimensions.
Meanwhile, he esul s o he p ac icali y es based on s uden esponse ques ionnai es also indica ed a e y p ac ical
ca ego y. The ini ial ield ial sco ed 87%, he main ield ial 90%, and he ope a ional ield ial 91%, wi h an o e all a e age o
89%. This da a demons a es ha Edugame is easy o s uden s o use, makes lea ning mo e enjoyable, and encou ages ac i e

Based on he assessmen esul s om ma e ial expe s, media expe s, and s uden esponses, i can be concluded ha he
educa ional game o in oducing egional musical ins umen s ha was de eloped mee s alid and p ac ical c i e ia, so i is
sui able o use as a lea ning medium o cul u al di e si y ma e ial in g ade IV elemen a y schools.
