ela ed challenges. Du ing he 2023-24 season, labou sho ages ose by 18-20 Pe cen age, la gely due o a
decline in mig an wo ke s who adi ionally suppo cane cu ing and loading ac i i ies. Despi e hei essen ial
ole, wo ke s ypically ea n only 350-450 pe day while endu ing long and physically demanding wo king

Ex-mill suga p ices in Wes e n U a P adesh o en emain below he ac ual cos o p oduc ion,
c ea ing a signi ican inancial imbalance o suga mills. In he 2022-23 c ushing season, he p oduc ion cos o
suga anged be ween 36-38 pe kg, while he ex-mill selling p ice was only 31-34 pe kg. This misma ch esul s
