Lis ening comp ehension is a c ucial componen o o eign language acquisi ion, as i
o ms he basis o success ul communica ion. Mode n language eaching emphasizes he
impo ance o exposing lea ne s o eal spoken English, which canno be ully achie ed h ough
a i icial ex book ma e ials. Acco ding o ecen s udies, au hen ic ma e ials play a i al ole in
s eng hening lea ne s’ lis ening compe ence by p esen ing hem wi h spon aneous, unsimpli ied
language inpu [1; 43-b.]. This exposu e helps lea ne s adap o he complexi ies o na u al
communica ion and enhances hei o e all p o iciency.
