Anno a ion: This a icle explo es how o ms o add ess unc ion in English and Uzbek,
ocusing on hei connec ion o poli eness, cul u al adi ion, and social hie a chy. The
compa ison examines how each language uses p onouns, i les, hono i ics, kinship
e ms, and con ex -based s a egies o exp ess espec o social dis ance. Findings show
ha English ends owa d egali a ian no ms wi h a single uni e sal second-pe son
p onoun, while Uzbek main ains a mo e hie a chical sys em ha e lec s age and s a us
di e ences. The analysis elies on majo heo e ical amewo ks, including B own and
