p o essionalisa ion o RDM suppo se ices in Swi ze land and p omo ing he FAIR and CARE
p inciples as good scien i ic p ac ices in Open Science, enabling bene i s o he esea ch
communi y in Swi ze land. The SRDSN also pu sues collabo a ions wi h in e na ional ini ia i es
and o ganisa ions o p omo e in e na ional coope a ion and o align on bes p ac ices in
Open Science and in RDM.

By applying o SRDSN membe ship, SRDSN membe s a e expec ed o a end wo annual
SRDSN mee ings and be willing o ake on o he commi men s ela ed o node/s ac i i ies. All
membe s a e encou aged o sha e news and upda es in p o essional RDM and mus obse e
he SRDSN Code o Conduc a he indi idual le el. Membe ship is condi ional o he signa u e
o a MoU o he membe ’s a ilia ed ins i u ion and SRDSN.
Membe ship applica ions should be submi ed h ough he egis a ion o m on he SRDSN
websi e using an ins i u ional email add ess. Membe s can e mina e hei membe ship
any ime on he SRDSN websi e h p://www. esea chda asuppo .ch/ o by sending an email
o he OC. I he SRDSN membe is no longe a ilia ed o an ins i u ion, which signed he MoU,
hen membe ship will be e mina ed once he ins i u ional accoun (email) used o
co espondence wi h he SRDSN expi es. In case o iola ion o he CoC, he membe ship will
be e mina ed o ended by he SC (see Membe ship special e mina ion). An indi idual can
e-apply o membe ship by ollowing he s anda d egis a ion p ocedu e. Howe e , in case
o special membe ship e mina ion due o he iola ion o he CoC, he enewal o
membe ship is only possible a e app o al by he SC.

and app o als h ough he SC. The SRDSN node membe s may pa icipa e in one o mo e

sec ion).

di ec ion by applying he bes p ac ices and knowledge o a heal hy, inclusi e, and
collabo a i e a mosphe e.
The SC oles include: se ing up ules and c i e ia o go e ning cu en and u u e nodes;
pe o ming selec ion and e iew o opic-o ien ed node objec i es, miles ones, deli e ables,
imeline and ou comes; accep ing new nodes; suppo ing node leads o es ablish and e iew
node goals on an annual basis; ecognise o mal collabo a ion wi h o he ne wo ks and
en i ies; e iewing o icial documen s such as he “Go e nance”, he “CoC”, he “MoU”, he
“Membe ship” as needed; s a egic communica ion wi h ele an in e na ional and na ional
s akeholde s including unning he SRDSN LinkedIn accoun ; ini ia ing mee ings o he
Sounding Boa d (upon need basis); and handling any cases o misconduc . In case o any

egions. The SC membe s can be elec ed by open on-si e and online o ing by he SRDSN

4.2. Ope a ional Commi ee (OC)
The SRDSN Ope a ional Commi ee (OC) is o med by ac i e ne wo k membe s and
coo dina es and o ganizes bi-annual e en s and e iews membe ships. I also manages he
edi o ial boa d o he ne wo k's communica ion channels, including he websi e and Zenodo
Communi y. This pe manen body includes a leas eigh adminis a i e membe s, wi h new
membe s in i ed annually o ensu e di e se ep esen a ion. Rep esen a i es om he nodes
membe s will also be in i ed o join he Edi o ial Boa d o he OC o ad e ise node e en s and
wo kshops.
The OC manages in e nal communica ion channels and in e nal pla o ms o s o ing and
sha ing in e nal documen s and o he ma e ials p oduced by he ne wo k.

Each node ocuses on a speci ic opic and aims o enhance RDM se ices and suppo . They
can be empo a y o ongoing, and ha e p ede ined goals and imelines. Nodes egula ly
epo p og ess o he SC and p esen annually a he SRDSN all mee ing. Nodes can be
ini ia ed by SRDSN membe s o p oposed by any o he o ganiza ional bodies o he SRDSN.

ele ance and po en ial collabo a ions. Nodes can also consis o al eady exis ing wo king
