The Bio4HUMAN p ojec began by mapping key playe s in he Democ a ic Republic
o Congo (DRC), Sou h Sudan and Eu ope who could p o ide aluable insigh s o
help iden i y bio-based solu ions sui able o solid was e managemen (SWM) in
humani a ian se ings. Th ough his e o , a da abase o 292 s akeholde s om
academia, indus y, communi y (including humani a ian ac o s) and
go e nmen /policy make s was c ea ed and o ganised acco ding o he Quad uple
Helix model. This mapping laid he ounda ion o a collabo a i e app oach ha
b idges humani a ian e o s and bio-based inno a ion.

SWM. The p ojec aims o o e e idence-based guidance on applying bio-based
p oduc s o humani a ian pu poses, ocusing on hei sus ainabili y and ci cula i y.
By engaging bio-based sec o s akeholde s and ci cula economy expe s,
Bio4HUMAN os e s coope a ion be ween humani a ian aid ope a o s and he bio-
based sec o . The s akeholde mapping p ocess is ongoing, wi h he da abase
e ol ing as new s akeholde s a e iden i ied. This collabo a i e app oach helps
de elop inno a i e bio-based solu ions o enhance he en i onmen al ou comes o
