ma ke . In his s udy, we se ou o de elop and assess a he bal an i-acne ace wash using an aqueous neem lea ex ac
(Azadi ach a indica). Unlike mos o he opical he bal p oduc s used o ea ing acne ha can include syn he ic
p oduc s, we seek o de elop a comple ely he bal p oduc .

Azadi ach a indica o Neem, o he amily Meliaceae, has been in use in Ayu edic p ac ices o cen u ies. The medicinal
alues o a ious pa s o he Neem ee a e well known and a e o en used by Ayu edic, Siddha, and he bal medicine
p ac i ione s in India. Neem lea es ha e a as ange o cha ac e is ics such as an ibac e ial, an i-pa asi ic, an i-
in lamma o y, and an ioxidan ac i i ies. I s widesp ead applica ion in adi ional medicine is an indica ion o i s
e ec i eness in ea ing a wide ange o heal h p oblems. Neem, which o igina es in India, occu s na u ally in opical

compounds isola ed om Neem, including alkaloids, la onoids, i e penoids, phenolic compounds, ca o enoids,
