is aking in o accoun using 2-D adap i e meshes o iangles [1], which a e cons uc ed using a e-
inemen /de e inemen p ocedu e in acco dance wi h he a ia ions o e ain su ace and albedo. The
model can be used in a mosphe ic sciences as well as in elec ical enginee ing since i allows he use
o ind he op imal loca ion o he maximum powe gene a ion in pho o ol aic o sola he mal powe
exploi ai ions. Fo his pu pose, he e ec o shadows is conside ed in each ime s ep. Sola adia ion
is i s compu ed o clea -sky (CS) condi ions [2] and hen, eal-sky alues a e compu ed daily in
e ms o he CS index. Maps o CS index a e ob ained om a spa ial in e pola ion o obse a ional
da a which a e a ailable o each day a se e al poin s o he s udied zone. Finally, he sola adia ion
maps o a mon h a e calcula ed om he daily esul s. The model can be also applied in sola adia ion
o ecas ing using a me eo ological model. The es ima ion o daily sola adia ion p o ided by such
model is used o adjus he clea sky esul s and ob ain he eal sky adia ion.
