As e idenced by Fuen es and Lopez (1999), we canno bu de ine To al

When analysing his ques ion a li le mo e in dep h, we ind ha he mos

Con inuous Imp o emen means a commi men o con inuously examine

Focusing on Con inuous Imp o emen , we mus indica e ha i is essen ial o To al

In p inciple, any ask can be add essed by an imp o emen eam, which is made up
by ew people wo king in he same wo kplace and ca y ou imp o emen asks on

In mos cases benchma king is associa ed o compa ing he company o i s
en i onmen , Ha ing on (1991, p.222) p oposed a classi ica ion based on he

hey a e used in some o he indus y; and (4) o Type Ac i i y, ocusing on some
speci ic ac i i ies wi hin a gi en p ocess, ega dless o he indus y in which he

Depending upon he ype o pe o mance we in end o emula e, Pe ez-Fe nandez
(1996, p.302) makes a dis inc ion be ween di e en ypes o benchma king: (1)
S a egic, ela ed, o he ma ke posi ion o compe i o s; (2) Func ional, o he mos

The e o e, benchma king can be conside ed as an analysis echnique ha allows

F om a mo e p ac ical iewpoin , Ruchala (1995) conside s ha benchma king is
