Roge s, 2011; F enken & Scho , 2017). Acco ding o Möhlmann (2015), he e m “sha ing economy”
is analogous o collabo a i e consump ion. O he simila labels include “collabo a i e consump-
ion”, “accessed-based consump ion”, “ he mesh” and “connec ed consump ion” (Codagnone &
Ma ens, 2016). Meanwhile, Eckha d e al. (2019) syn hesize a de ini ion sugges ing ha i is
“a scalable socio-economic sys em ha employs echnology-enabled pla o m o p o ide use s he
empo a y access o angible and in angible esou ces ha may be c owdsou ced” (p. 3). In a ypical
sha ing economy con igu a ion, he pla o m p o ide se -ups a sys em depic ing a wo-sided

Hahn, 2017), us (Boa eng e al., 2019; Hallem e al., 2019; Hawli schek e al., 2018; Lau en i &
Acuña, 2020; Tussyadiah & Pesonen, 2016) and en i onmen al sus ainabili y (Hallem e al., 2019;
Hama i e al., 2016; Lau en i & Acuña, 2020; Lee & Chow, 2020; Roos & Hahn, 2017). Ne e heless,

u ban a eas o ad anced economies (Bakke & Twining-Wa d, 2018; Hawli schek e al., 2018; Mon
e al., 2020). Kuah and Wang (2020) speci y ha he ex an in es iga ions on consume s’ in ol e-
men in ci cula economy p ac ices encompassing collabo a i e consump ion ocused on Wes e n
con ex s despi e i s p omising de elopmen s in Asia. Re amal (2019) a gued ha beha io al
