aw ma e ials (SRM) om was e managemen and ecycling), an in e disciplina y app oach

ing, aside om he d a ing o a sha ed egula o y and policy amewo k, educa ion and
aining challenges mus be o e come: Expe s in di e en ields ( om mining enginee ing
o geology, om economics o social sciences, and om en i onmen al o heal h sciences)

o p omo ing local economic de elopmen h ough he implemen a ion, e ision, and
imp o emen o he BSc, MSc, and PhD geology and mining cu icula.

RM. Coun ies migh ha e well-go e ned ex ac i e indus ies in basic compliance e ms,
bu isk managemen and sus ainabili y migh be absen . T ue go e nance should place
emphasis on sus ainabili y [11].

da a in hei in es men analysis, wi h many c i icisms [

Some au ho s p opose a holis ic assessmen o he local sus ainabili y o he mining
