II. THE 1970 SPAIN-EEC TRADE AGREEMENT

he enla ged Ccmnuni y.
The solu ion was o conclude an exchange o le e s da ed 25
July 1977 which pe mi ed he p o isions o he ag ee oon be ween
he h ee new Manbe S a es and Spain o be applied au on(IOC)usly
on 1 July 1977.

1979, his sys em was ex ended o 31 Decembe 1980. I makes he
admission o he ma ke o p oduc s o Spanish o igin dependen

S a es o he Ccmnuni y.
The .ins i u ion o Ccmnuni y supe ision o all supplie s including
Spain was also decided on o shoe impo s, un il a : oo e lexible

Spain' s accession should open o mally in Feb ua y 1979.

O ice, M. Jean F anc;:ois-Ponce , du ing he solemn opening o
he nego ia ions (see poin 4 ollowing).
