diabe es; Gunugu poolu (Celosia), wi h i s bold lame- ed hues, used o ea ing blood p essu e and s omach ailmen s; and Ma igold
(Tage es), employed as a na u al pes icide and emedy o skin diseases. Ch ysan hemum is a o ed o i s ib an colou s, while
he Indian lo us symbolises pu i y and aids in educing body hea and cons ipa ion. Vel e lowe /Globe ama an h (Poka ban i),
linked wi h Goddess Si a, is used o eye heal h. O he local lo a, such as Lu a lowe s, Cucu bi a, Memecylon edule, T idax

he Telugu Hindu calenda , usually in Sep embe –Oc obe , coinciding wi h Du ga Na a i. Ba hukamma spans nine days,
beginning on Mahalaya Ama asya and culmina ing on Saddula Ba hukamma (also known as Pedda Ba hukamma) on Ashwayuja
