INTRODUCTION
Adolescence is a sensi i e pe iod o psychological de elopmen . S uden s in academic boa d yea s ace inc eased
examina ion p essu e which may ad e sely a ec psychological well-being (Ry , 1989; Diene , 1984). This s udy
compa es PWB be ween G ade 10 and G ade 12 s uden s in Lucknow and es s he con ibu ion o academic s ess,
social suppo , and sleep o PWB.
Me hods
Design: C oss-sec ional su ey conduc ed in mul iple Lucknow schools.
Pa icipan s: N = 300 (simula ed da ase o his d a ). Ta ge sample when collec ing eal da a: s a i ied sample
ac oss public and p i a e schools in Lucknow, balanced ac oss G ade 10 and G ade 12, ages ~15–18.
Measu es:
• Psychological Well-Being (PWB): Adap ed sho - o m o Ry ’s Psychological Well-Being Scale. Highe
sco es indica e g ea e well-being.
• Academic S ess: Educa ional S ess Scale o Adolescen s (Sun e al., 2011).
• Pe cei ed Social Suppo : Mul idimensional Scale o Pe cei ed Social Suppo (MSPSS).
• Sleep: Sel - epo ed a e age sleep hou s on school nigh s.

Discussion
The simula ed analyses illus a e how academic s ess is nega i ely associa ed wi h psychological well-being, while
pe cei ed social suppo and adequa e sleep a e p o ec i e. Fo eal-wo ld claims abou Lucknow s uden s, esea che s
mus collec and analyze p ima y da a ollowing he desc ibed p ocedu e.
Limi a ions

P ac ical Implica ions
Schools in Lucknow should conside counseling se ices o boa d-yea s uden s, s ess- educ ion wo kshops, and
sleep educa ion p og ams. Family and pee suppo in e en ions may be bene icial.
CONCLUSION
Academic s ess appea s o be a majo co ela e o educed psychological well-being among s uden s in boa d yea s;
in e en ions a ge ing s ess, social suppo , and sleep may imp o e ou comes.
