I. INTRODUCTION

The Indus y 4.0 pa adigm also en isions he in eg a ion

bili ies and esou ces, named Cons ained De ice Senso s
(CDS), which o m a Wi eless Senso Ne wo k (WSN).

II. PROPOSED ARCHITECTURE
This sec ion p esen s he deploymen o he NFV- and
SDN-enabled a chi ec u e o Indus y 4.0, and he inclu-
sion o a WSN o IIoT applica ions. I has been deployed
ac oss he Facul y o Enginee ing in Bilbao (EIB) and
he Ae onau ics Ad anced Manu ac u ing Cen e (CFAA).
These wo loca ions a e in e connec ed h ough a laye -
2 SDN ne wo k a a a e o 10 Gbps. Two OpenS ack
nodes manage he esou ces o hei espec i e loca ions,
and h ee ONOS con olle s manage he da a plane con-
nec i i y. Finally, an Open Sou ce MANO (OSM) on op
o ches a es he whole NFV and SDN in as uc u e. This
a chi ec u e is ep esen ed in Figu e 1.

In addi ion, a WSN has been in eg a ed in o his a -
chi ec u e, enabling he deploymen o se e al cons ained
senso s in o de o moni o di e en en i onmen al pa-
ame e s. The Hid a p o ocol [1] is used, p o iding a
s ong and dynamic access con ol solu ion ha can be
implemen ed e en in he mos cons ained de ices.
Each Ne wo k Se ice (NS) deployed h ough OSM
maps logically o a gi en manu ac u ing p ocess and
p o ides i , on demand, wi h he necessa y esou ces
and Vi ual Ne wo k Func ions (VNF). Laye -2 VLAN
segmen a ion is used in o de o ensu e isola ion be ween
di e en p ocesses. Besides, he addi ion o he WSN
in oduces an addi ional dimension o he design o NSs,
as se ices p o ided by he CDSs can be dynamically
alloca ed o hese NSs oge he wi h he se ices p o ided
by he VNFs ha hey a e composed o .
