wo ) is ich in po en an ioxidan cons i uen s such as la onoids, phenolic compounds, and
chlo ogenic acid. T adi ionally, his plan has been used in olk medicine o i s an i-in lamma o y
and seda i e e ec s. Mode n pha maceu ical echnologies make i possible o de elop s able
o mula ions wi h high bioa ailabili y om his plan ma e ial.
Aim o he S udy. To de elop, on a scien i ic basis, he composi ion o a medicinal p oduc
de i ed om Hype icum pe o a um ex ac and o in es iga e i s biopha maceu ical p ope ies.
Ma e ials and Me hods. The esea ch plan includes collec ing and s anda dizing he plan aw
ma e ial in acco dance wi h pha macopeial equi emen s, selec ing op imal ex ac ion me hods, and
e alua ing excipien s such as mic oc ys alline cellulose, poly inylpy olidone, s a ch, and o he s. The
physical-chemical s abili y o he inal dosage o m will be es ed.
Bioa ailabili y will be assessed using in- i o dissolu ion and disin eg a ion es s as well as in-
i o animal s udies. Fo he dissolu ion es , acco ding o he XI S a e Pha macopeia, in he absence
o speci ic indica o s, he o a ing baske appa a us will be ope a ed a 150 pm o 45 minu es, and
he able e icacy mus exceed 75 %. Fo he disin eg a ion es , also ollowing he XI S a e
Pha macopeia, in he absence o speci ic equi emen s, es ing will be pe o med on six able s a a
equency o 28–32 mo emen s pe minu e o 15 minu es, wi h a equi ed yield o mo e han 75 %.

ega ding he op imal manu ac u ing echnology o he Hype icum pe o a um-based d ug, he
in luence o excipien s, and he pa ame e s o s abili y and bioa ailabili y. These da a will ha e

Conclusion. A p epa a ion based on Hype icum pe o a um ex ac has he po en ial o educe
oxida i e s ess and may se e as a p omising he apeu ic agen o he p e en ion o ch onic
in lamma ion, me abolic synd ome, and ca dio ascula diseases.
