esea ch. One such plan is An hemis inc o ia L. (yellow chamomile), which is widely used in olk
medicine. The plan con ains la onoids, essen ial oils, couma ins, o ganic acids, and i amins, which
ha e an i-in lamma o y, an isep ic, seda i e, and an ispasmodic e ec s. The aim o his s udy is o
de elop a echnology o ob aining a liquid ex ac om yellow chamomile aw ma e ials. The plan

medicine, he use o plan aw ma e ials causes chole e ic, an ipy e ic, and hemos a ic insomnia,
i i abili y, and inc eased anxie y, including menopause, neu ode ma i is, de ma oses, eczema,
la ulence, dyspepsia, coli is, ano exia, dysmeno hea, and pain du ing mens ua ion.

Me hods and echniques: The mace a ion me hod was used in his s udy. The wo d mace a ion
comes om he wo d mace a e, meaning o mois en. C ushed aw ma e ials (1-8 mm) a e placed on
a mesh bo om, he speci ied amoun o sepa a o is added, and he mix u e is le a a empe a u e o
15-20°C o 7 days, unless o he wise speci ied, wi h pe iodic s i ing. A e he speci ied ime, he
ex ac is d ained. The esidue is comp essed. The aw ma e ials a e washed wi h a small amoun o
clean sepa a o and p essed again. The ex ac s a e combined and b ough o he equi ed olume
wi h clean sepa a o . Pu i ied wa e and e hyl alcohol wi h a ious pe cen ages o concen a ion, i.e.,

he abo e-g ound pa o he c ushed medicinal plan , i was c ushed o a ious sizes. In o de o
sepa a e he biologically ac i e subs ances con ained in plan s, he ollowing sepa a o s we e s udied
on he basis o expe imen s. To ex ac he biologically ac i e subs ance om he plan An hemis
inc o ia L. (yellow chamomile), a se ies o expe imen s we e conduc ed using he ollowing
sepa a o s. Pu i ied wa e and e hyl alcohol wi h a ious pe cen age concen a ions, i.e., 40, 70, 90,
and 96% e hyl alcohol, we e used as sepa a o s. The deg ee o plan g inding was 0.5, 1, and 2 μm,
and he ex ac an a io was 1:5 and 1:10. The ex ac an s we e ob ained using me hods desc ibed in

o 0.5 μm in a a io o 1:5, using a biologically ac i e subs ance con ained in he yellow chamomile
plan , pu i ied wa e as an ex ac an , and e hyl alcohol in concen a ions o 40, 70, 90, and 96%. As
a esul o scien i ic esea ch, ex ac s wi h a size o 0.5, 1, and 2 μm we e isola ed om he ae ial
pa o he yellow chamomile plan . An ex ac was p epa ed om he c ushed yellow chamomile
plan by mace a ion using e hyl alcohol as a sepa a o in a a io o 1:5 and a a ious concen a ions.
Du ing he mace a ion p ocess, he medicinal aw ma e ial measu ing 0.5, 1, and 2 μm was pou ed
in o a sepa a o in a a io o 1:5 and le o 24 hou s. A e 24 hou s, he ex ac was il e ed h ough
8-laye gauze o sepa a ion. The il e ed ex ac was placed in a b own con aine and le o 7 days.
Based on he expe imen s, he amoun o la onoids isola ed du ing il a ion o he inished ex ac
was s udied. The s udies showed he selec ion o op imal condi ions o ob aining a liquid ex ac
om yellow chamomile lowe s. A 70% e hanol solu ion allowed o maximum dissolu ion o
bioac i e subs ances. The esul ing ex ac was s anda dized o la onoid and essen ial oil con en in
acco dance wi h pha macopoeia equi emen s. The esul s show ha yellow chamomile ex ac has
an i-in lamma o y and an ibio ic p ope ies.
Conclusions: A echnology o ob aining a liquid ex ac om he plan An hemis inc o ia L.
has been de eloped. A 70% e hanol solu ion was selec ed as he op imal condi ions. The ex ac
ob ained has high quali y indica o s and can be used in pha maceu ical p ac ice in he o m o sy up,
d ops, and inc u e. Fu he in-dep h s udy o he pha macological p ope ies o he ex ac and i s use
in he de elopmen o new dosage o ms is ad isable.
