lingonbe y and bea be y lea es.
Ma e ials and me hods: The s udy subjec s we e lingonbe y and bea be y lea es, using 40%
e hyl alcohol as he ex ac an . A combined inc u e o lingonbe y and bea be y lea es was ob ained
by pe cola ion. Pe cola ion in ol es h ee sequen ial s eps: soaking (swelling) o he aw ma e ials,
in usion, and pe cola ion i sel . An equal amoun o 40% e hyl alcohol (10 ml) was added o 10.0 g
o c ushed aw ma e ials (5 g lingonbe y lea es + 5 g bea be y lea es) and le o soak o 6 hou s.
The soaked aw ma e ials we e ans e ed o a pe cola o on a alse bo om lined wi h il e ma e ial,
co e ed wi h il e ma e ial, and weigh ed o p e en indi idual aw ma e ial pa icles om loa ing.
The pe cola o was le o 24 hou s. A e 24 hou s, pe cola ion was pe o med a a a e o 1/24 o
he ex ac pe hou un il he ex ac was 5 pa s by olume ela i e o he mass o he aw ma e ial
loaded in o he pe cola o . Lingonbe y and bea be y lea es con ain low-ac i i y biological
subs ances, so he inc u e was p epa ed a a a io o 1:5. The esul ing ex ac was le o se le a 10
°C. o 2 days. The sedimen was hen il e ed wi hou s i ing. The esul ing combined inc u e was
e alua ed o i s composi ion, ela i e densi y, and e hanol con en . The ela i e densi y and e hanol
