The aim o he s udy. To de e mine he physicochemical and echnological p ope ies o he
s oma ological phy o oo hpas e de eloped on he basis o local aw ma e ials.
Me hods. The op imal composi ion and echnology o he s oma ological phy o oo hpas e we e
de eloped, wi h sodium ca boxyme hyl cellulose used as he pas e- o ming base. As a esul o he
conduc ed esea ch, i was ound ha some quali y indica o s o he p epa ed phy o oo hpas e—such
as appea ance, au hen ici y, uni o mi y, he mal and colloidal s abili y, and pH alue—comply wi h
he equi emen s o egula o y documen s.
The s uc u al composi ion o his so dosage o m and i s ansi ion o a lowing s a e is mainly
cha ac e ized by e ec i e iscosi y, which is ela ed o he in e nal ic ion o subs ances and laye s,
and he de o ma ional changes occu ing unde he in luence o shea s ess o low a e g adien .
Taking his in o accoun , heological s udies o he pas e unde shea low a di e en empe a u es
we e ca ied ou using he "Reo es -2" appa a us.
Resul s. Acco ding o he expe imen al esul s, he phy o oo hpas e has a non-New onian low
unde shea condi ions. The pas e beha ed as a s able sys em, since wi h he inc ease o empe a u e
om 25ºC o 40ºC, a dec ease in shea yield s ess was obse ed. In addi ion, he ha dness coe icien
dec eased om 34 Pa·s o 25 Pa·s, and he mechanical s abili y dec eased om 2.2 o 1.8.
Conclusions. The physicochemical and echnological p ope ies o he s oma ological
phy o oo hpas e we e de e mined. The oo hpas e is cha ac e ized by i s composi ion and alues o
shea yield s ess, s uc u al ha dness, and mechanical s abili y depending on empe a u e. Pas es wi h
such indica o s a e sui able o p ac ical applica ion as a so dosage o m.
