in e es . Only medicinal sage is o icially egis e ed in Kazakhs an and included in he S a e
Pha macopoeia, o he ypes o sage a e poo ly s udied and a e no used in medicine. Ex ac s o he
dese sage oo ha e an ipla ele , an imic obial, and immunomodula o y e ec s. In his ega d, he
s udy o new poo ly s udied species o sage is an u gen p oblem. The de elopmen o echnology o
ob aining lyophilic ex ac s o dese sage is an u gen ask.
The pu pose o he s udy is o de elop a echnology o ob aining lyophilic ex ac o dese
sage.
Ma e ials and me hods. To ob ain he ex ac , d ied and c ushed abo eg ound pa s o dese
sage collec ed in he oo hills o Sou he n Kazakhs an we e used. To isola e biologically ac i e
subs ances, he me hod o ul asonic ex ac ion wi h 40% alcohol was used, ollowed by he emo al
o he ex ac an on a o a y e apo a o . Nex , he esul ing hick ex ac was lyophilized in a Ha es
Righ appa a us, USA. The quali y o he ex ac was de e mined by physico-chemical, echnological
and mic obiological me hods.
Resul s. Biologically ac i e subs ances we e isola ed by ul asonic ex ac ion, and a hick
ex ac was ob ained by dis illing he ex ac an on a acuum o a y e apo a o , which was eeze-
d ied o ob ain a d y ex ac .
Ex ac s ob ained wi h a 40% aqueous alcohol solu ion ha e a highe yield o ex ac i e
subs ances (3.7% mo e) compa ed o ex ac s ob ained wi h 70% e hyl alcohol. F eeze d ying
p o ides a highe yield o d y lyophilic ex ac (15.7%) and be e solubili y compa ed o d ying in a
d ying cabine (14.1%). All samples we e cha ac e ized by hyg oscopici y and absence o excess
hea y me al con en and mic obiological pu i y.
Conclusions. As a esul o he use o inno a i e echnology, a lyophilic ex ac o dese sage
was ob ained and he main pha macological and echnological cha ac e is ics o he d y ex ac we e
es ablished.
