The aim o he s udy was o p epa e a inc u e om he oo o wild wa e melon.
In oduc ion: Wild Wa e melon (Ci ullus Colocyn his is a plan o he Cucu bi aceae amily,
known o i s medicinal p ope ies. The oo o wild wa e melon con ains a complex o biologically
ac i e compounds (cucu bi acins, la onoids), which ha e a po en ial he apeu ic e ec in he con ex
o he p e en ion and ea men o he consequences o s oke, including neu op o ec i e , an ioxidan ,
and an i-in lamma o y e ec s [6,7,9].
Ma e ials and me hods: g adua ed cylinde , glass con aine wi h a sealed lid (≥700 ml), gauze,
da k glass bo le, alcohol mace a ion and ex ac ion.
To p epa e he inc u e, add 50 g o c ushed oo o 500 ml o 70% alcohol, le i s eep o 14
days in he da k, and hen il e . The inished p oduc is s o ed in a da k glass con aine .
Resul s: We ob ained 500 ml o inc u e om he oo o wild wa e melon, da k yellow in colo .
Conclusions: Wild wa e melon oo inc u e is o scien i ic in e es as a po en ial ea men o
comp ehensi e ehabili a ion a e s oke. P elimina y da a indica e a posi i e e ec on cogni i e
unc ion and educed swelling. Howe e , u he in-dep h pha macological and clinical s udies a e
needed be o e i can be implemen ed in o clinical p ac ice.
