The da a include he s anda d uel quali y pa ame e s such as ce ane numbe , kinema ic iscosi y,
sul u con en , lash poin , densi y, wa e con en , oxida ion s abili y, and me allic con en s (Na, K,
Ca, Mg, P).
All pa ame e s we e de e mined o six di e en uel blends:
• B20: 20% biodiesel + 80% diesel
• B50: 50% biodiesel + 50% diesel
• B100: 100% biodiesel
• B20D65E15: 20% biodiesel + 65% diesel + 15% bioe hanol
• B50D35E15: 50% biodiesel + 35% diesel + 15% bioe hanol
• B85D0E15: 85% biodiesel + 15% bioe hanol
2. Expe imen al De ails
2.1 Biodiesel P oduc ion
Camelina biodiesel was p oduced ia alkaline anses e i ica ion using me hanol (CH₃OH) and
sodium hyd oxide (NaOH) as he ca alys .
• Reac ion empe a u e: 55 °C
• Ca alys concen a ion: 3.5 g NaOH pe li e o oil
• Mola a io: 20% me hanol ( / ) ela i e o oil
• S i ing a e: 80 L/min o 60 min
• Sepa a ion: Glyce ol laye emo ed a e 2 h es
• Washing: Dis illed wa e , 1:1 / a io, se led 12 h
• D ying: 100 °C o 2 h o emo e esidual wa e
The esul ing me hyl es e was pu i ied and s o ed a ambien empe a u e be o e blending. Blends
o diesel (B0), B20, B50, and B100 we e p epa ed olume ically. In addi ion, e hanol-con aining
blends (B20D65E15, B50D35E15, and B85D0E15) we e p epa ed using bioe hanol supplied by
Konya Şeke A.Ş.
