These agen s inhibi gas ic acid sec e ion mo e apidly and o longe du a ions, po en ially
imp o ing Helicobac e pylo i e adica ion e icacy by 10–20%. Acco ding o he indings o s udies
conduc ed be ween 2023 and 2025, he ole o po assium-compe i i e acid blocke s in he ea men
o gas i is is becoming inc easingly signi ican . In pa icula , hei ad an ages in imp o ing he
e icacy o Helicobac e pylo i e adica ion and educing he p og ession o gas ic mucosal inju y
ha e been scien i ically demons a ed. The e o e, po assium-compe i i e acid blocke s a e
ecommended in clinical p ac ice as an op imal he apeu ic op ion o pa ien s and a e expec ed o
become a main he apeu ic app oach in he coming yea s o he ea men o gas i is and
Helicobac e pylo i- ela ed diseases.
Pu pose o he s udy: gas i is (acu e and ch onic o ms) in ea men adi ional p o on pump
inhibi o s p o on pump inhibi o s and be ween mode n po assium-compe i i e acid blocke s
po assium-compe i i e acid blocke s e iciency and Sys ema ic sa e y moni o ing compa ison.
Ma e ials and me hods: his s udy was based on a sys ema ic li e a u e e iew and me a-
analysis, including andomized clinical ials and me a-analyses e ie ed om PubMed and Google
Schola da abases om 2020–2025.
Resul s: he esul s o he me a-analysis showed he supe io i y o po assium-compe i i e acid
blocke s o e p o on pump inhibi o s. The pooled Risk Ra io o Helicobac e pylo i e adica ion
e icacy was 1.17, (95% Con idence in e al: 1.11–1.22, I² = 28%), indica ing ha po assium-
compe i i e acid blocke s we e 17% mo e e ec i e. The Odds Ra io o he a e o pep ic ulce s and
gas i is was 1.25 (95% Con idence in e al: 1.08–1.45, I² = 40%), and accele a ed mucosal
egene a ion in a ophic changes. The e was no di e ence in side e ec s (dia hea, headache) (Risk
Ra io = 1.01, 95% Con idence in e al: 0.88–1.16). Po assium-compe i i e acid blocke s we e mo e
e ec i e in he acu e and ch onic subg oups o gas i is esis an mo e e ec i e in o ms Risk Ra io
= 1.18.

Conclusions: in gas i is, po assium-compe i i e acid blocke s show s a is ical and clinical
supe io i y o e p o on pump inhibi o s in acid supp ession and Helicobac e pylo i e adica ion,
which se es o s op in lamma ion and educe he isk o complica ions. Recommenda ion: in i s -
line he apy, a po assium-compe i i e acid blocke s-based iple egimen «Vonop azan 20 mg +
amoxicillin + cla i h omycin, 14 days» is p e e ed; in Uzbekis an, aking in o accoun esis ance, i
should be combined wi h a bismu h-based egimen.
