e o ms. Emphasis is placed on he ole o law in empowe ing women, p o ec ing hei igh s in
amily, labo , and poli ical sphe es, and add essing issues such as domes ic iolence, disc imina ion,

indi iduals en i led o ull legal capaci y. Despi e no able p og ess, legal inequali y emains a
pe sis en global issue. In many socie ies, women con inue o ace ba ie s o jus ice, limi ed access
o legal ep esen a ion, gende -based iolence, and disc imina o y laws ela ed o ma iage,
inhe i ance, and employmen . The in e sec ion o gende wi h o he social ac o s—such as class,
ace, and eligion— u he complica es women’s legal expe iences. The e o e, examining women
and he law is essen ial o unde s anding how legal ins i u ions can bo h ein o ce and challenge
gende hie a chies. This s udy aims o analyze he e olu ion o women’s legal s a us, iden i y ongoing
challenges, and e alua e he ole o legal e o ms and ad ocacy in ad ancing gende jus ice. The
esea ch on “Women and he Law” was conduc ed using an in e disciplina y and analy ical
amewo k aimed a unde s anding bo h he e olu ion and he cu en challenges o women’s legal
s a us wo ldwide. The s udy is g ounded in quali a i e esea ch me hodology, in eg a ing legal,
sociological, and his o ical pe spec i es o ensu e a comp ehensi e analysis o women’s igh s in he

limi a ions, such as he unequal a ailabili y o gende -speci ic legal da a among di e en ju isdic ions
and he e ol ing na u e o in e na ional human igh s no ms. Ne e heless, hese limi a ions do no
diminish he analy ical alue o he esea ch. The s udy e ealed ha despi e global p og ess in
women’s legal s a us, signi ican gende inequali ies emain wi hin na ional legal sys ems. Th ee
main a eas we e iden i ied: legal ecogni ion, p o ec ion, and pa icipa ion. Legal ecogni ion: Mos
coun ies gua an ee equali y be o e he law, ye disc imina o y no ms pe sis , especially in ma e s o
inhe i ance, ma iage, and p ope y igh s. In some egions, women’s es imony and owne ship igh s
emain legally limi ed.Al hough many na ions ha e adop ed laws agains domes ic iolence and
ha assmen , en o cemen emains weak. Da a show ha less han hal o gende -based iolence cases
each cou , wi h con ic ion a es below 20%. Women’s ep esen a ion in he judicia y and legal
p o essions has g own o 36% globally, bu emains low in highe cou s and poli ical ins i u ions.

CEDAW, he implemen a ion gap emains signi ican . Weak en o cemen , judicial bias, and
insu icien awa eness among women abou hei legal igh s con ibu e o pe sis en inequali y.
Socio-cul u al adi ions o en o e ide o mal laws, especially in u al and conse a i e
communi ies. A he same ime, inc easing emale pa icipa ion in he legal p o ession and digi al
access o jus ice ep esen posi i e ends ha can accele a e equali y. Go e nmen s and in e na ional

In conclusion, he pa h owa d genuine legal equali y equi es no only legisla i e e o m bu also a
shi in socie al a i udes and ins i u ional beha io . The s udy concludes ha al hough signi ican
p og ess has been made in p omo ing women’s legal igh s wo ldwide, ue equali y be o e he law
has no ye been ully achie ed. Legal e o ms ha e imp o ed women’s ecogni ion and p o ec ion,
bu he implemen a ion gap be ween w i en laws and ac ual p ac ice emains a majo obs acle. To
achie e genuine jus ice, s a es mus ensu e he e ec i e en o cemen o gende -equali y laws,
elimina e disc imina o y p ac ices, and s eng hen women’s pa icipa ion in decision-making a all
le els o he legal sys em. Ul ima ely, women’s empowe men h ough law equi es no only
legisla i e change, bu also cul u al ans o ma ion, educa ion, and sus ained ins i u ional
commi men o human igh s and equali y.
