olk medicine by A icenna (Abu Ali ibn Sino). P epa a ions made om his plan we e applied in he

using he hin-laye ch oma og aphy (TLC) me hod.
Ma e ials and Me hods: he s udy was ca ied ou in acco dance wi h Sec ion 2.2.27 (TLC
me hod) o he S a e Pha macopoeia o he Republic o Uzbekis an, Vol. I, Pa 1.
Fi s , 100 mg o he wo king s anda d sample was dissol ed in 10 ml o a me hanol–wa e (70:30)
mix u e and il e ed. The il a e was used as he s anda d solu ion. A colo -de eloping eagen was
p epa ed by mixing equal olumes o he ollowing 0.1 % alcoholic solu ions: aluminum chlo ide, 4-
aminoan ipy ine, an imony (III) chlo ide, and diphenylamine. This eagen was used o sp aying he
pla es.
Fo he es solu ion, 1.0 g o he powde ed sample was dissol ed in 10 ml o a me hanol–wa e
(70:30) mix u e and il e ed. Depending on he ac i e componen s o he plan , di e en mobile-phase
composi ions we e selec ed o sepa a e a ious ac i e subs ances.
P ocedu e: he TLC analysis was pe o med in h ee s ages: Applica ion: A small amoun o
he p epa ed solu ion was applied o one edge o a TLC pla e (coa ed wi h a hin laye o silica gel)
using a mic opipe e. A e applica ion, he sol en quickly e apo a ed, lea ing small spo s on he
silica gel. De elopmen : The spo ed pla e was ca e ully placed in a chambe con aining he mobile
phase. The chambe was closed, and he sol en on was allowed o ise e enly. Iden i ica ion:
