Recen esea ch in wi eless ne wo k secu i y has yielded nume ous in-dep h s udies ocusing
on cybe a ack de ec ion, deep lea ning applica ions, p o ocol imp o emen s, and eme ging
echnologies such as IoT, 5G, and blockchain. Behi y and Aly (2024) in oduced a hyb id
machine lea ning (ML) model speci ically designed o de ec ing cybe a acks in Wi eless
Senso Ne wo ks (WSNs). Thei model combined mul iple ML echniques o enhance
de ec ion accu acy and eliabili y, and i was alida ed using well-known benchma k da ase s,
demons a ing i s e ec i eness in iden i ying a wide ange o h ea s in esou ce-cons ained
WSN en i onmen s.
In a b oade con ex , Rod íguez, O e o, Gu ié ez, and Canal (2021) conduc ed a
comp ehensi e su ey on he use o deep lea ning (DL) in mobile ne wo k secu i y. Thei
wo k emphasized how DL algo i hms, such as con olu ional neu al ne wo ks (CNNs) and
ecu en neu al ne wo ks (RNNs), ha e been success ully implemen ed in in usion de ec ion
sys ems (IDS). They highligh ed DL’s capabili y o adap o e ol ing h ea s and suppo
eal- ime decision-making, hus playing a i al ole in adap i e h ea esponse mechanisms
in mobile ne wo ks.

public sa e y. They p oposed se e al WSN-speci ic h ea mi iga ion s a egies, such as
ligh weigh c yp og aphy, secu e ou ing p o ocols, and anomaly de ec ion sys ems, ailo ed
o he low-powe and dis ibu ed na u e o hese ne wo ks.
Zhang and Lee (2020) examined he use o blockchain in wi eless ne wo k secu i y,
pa icula ly o decen alized access con ol and us managemen . They iden i ied
blockchain’s s eng hs in p o iding ampe -p oo eco ds and au oma ed policy en o cemen
h ough sma con ac s. Howe e , hey also acknowledged limi a ions, such as high ene gy
consump ion and scalabili y issues when applied in eal-wo ld wi eless en i onmen s wi h
limi ed compu a ional esou ces.
Singh and Gup a (2020) conduc ed a de ailed su ey on a ious ypes o wi eless a acks
including jamming, which dis up s communica ion by o e whelming he ne wo k wi h noise;
sni ing, which in e cep s da a packe s; and spoo ing, whe e a acke s impe sona e legi ima e
de ices. They analyzed co esponding mi iga ion echniques such as equency hopping
sp ead spec um (FHSS), enc yp ion algo i hms, and secu e au hen ica ion p o ocols, o e ing
a compa a i e pe spec i e on hei e ec i eness and deploymen complexi y.

ne wo k s anda ds, commonly used in Wi-Fi communica ion. They iden i ied speci ic
weaknesses in au hen ica ion and enc yp ion mechanisms and p oposed enhancemen s such
as implemen ing public key in as uc u e (PKI) o s onge au hen ica ion and de eloping
ogue access poin (AP) de ec ion sys ems o p e en unau ho ized de ices om
masque ading as legi ima e APs.
Finally, Kuma and Mallick (2018) in es iga ed cybe secu i y h ea s associa ed wi h he
apid p oli e a ion o In e ne o Things (IoT) de ices. These de ices, o en deployed in
wi eless ne wo ks, expand he a ack su ace signi ican ly due o hei he e ogenei y and
weak secu i y con igu a ions. The au ho s ecommended designing a secu e IoT a chi ec u e
inco po a ing laye ed secu i y policies, ha dwa e-based au hen ica ion, and eal- ime
moni o ing ools o de ec and espond o po en ial h ea s e ec i ely.

in eg a ing ad anced echnologies such as AI, ML, DL, and blockchain in o wi eless ne wo k

app oach helps build a b oad unde s anding o cu en secu i y challenges and adi ional
solu ions wi hou gene a ing new expe imen al da a.
