This esea ch examines how online ools enhance speaking skills in English as a
Fo eign Language (EFL) class ooms. The s udy was ca ied ou a School No. 39 in
Si da yo dis ic wi h 16 seconda y school s uden s aged 15–17. I explo es he impac
o digi al pla o ms such as Zoom, Flipg id, and Google Mee on imp o ing lea ne s’
o al luency, p onuncia ion, and con idence. The esul s indica e ha in eg a ing online
ools inc eases s uden s’ exposu e o au hen ic communica ion, encou ages pee
in e ac ion, and suppo s sel -di ec ed lea ning. Howe e , he indings also highligh
challenges such as uns able in e ne connec ion and limi ed digi al li e acy. O e all,

language educa ion. Speaking, as one o he mos in e ac i e and pe o mance-based
skills, has bene i ed om he in oduc ion o online ools ha p omo e eal- ime
communica ion, eedback, and collabo a ion. In Uzbekis an, online educa ion is s ill
de eloping, ye i p o ides new oppo uni ies o EFL lea ne s o p ac ice speaking
beyond he class oom. This s udy aims o explo e how online ools can imp o e
speaking skills and o e come adi ional ba ie s such as limi ed class oom ime and
speaking anxie y.

mul imedia in e ac ion. Mo e ecen s udies (e.g., Reinde s & Whi e, 2011) show ha
digi al ools inc ease lea ne au onomy and p omo e con inuous engagemen wi h he
a ge language.In he Uzbek EFL con ex , lea ne s o en lack oppo uni ies o p ac ice
speaking in au hen ic communica i e si ua ions. Online ools like Zoom, Google Mee ,
and social media applica ions help ill his gap by connec ing lea ne s o di e se
audiences and eal-wo ld con ex s. Mo eo e , esea ch by Ghai h (2018) highligh s ha
online en i onmen s educe a ec i e ba ie s and enhance mo i a ion h ough
collabo a i e p ojec s and eedback sys ems. Howe e , challenges emain ega ding
access o echnology, eache p epa edness, and sus ainable in eg a ion in o cu iculum
design.

The aim o his s udy is o in es iga e he e ec i eness o online ools in imp o ing
s uden s’ speaking skills in EFL class ooms.

1. To iden i y how online pla o ms acili a e speaking p ac ice among EFL
lea ne s.
2. To examine he bene i s and challenges o using online ools o o al
communica ion.
3. To p o ide ecommenda ions o in eg a ing online ools e ec i ely in EFL
speaking ins uc ion.
Resea ch Me hodology
This quali a i e s udy was conduc ed wi h 16 s uden s om g ades 9–10 a School No.
39, Si da yo dis ic . The pa icipan s engaged in online speaking ac i i ies using
pla o ms such as Zoom and Flipg id o e a ou -week pe iod. The da a we e collec ed
h ough class oom obse a ion, online discussion eco dings, and pos -ac i i y
su eys. The analysis ocused on s uden s’ pa icipa ion, luency, p onuncia ion, and
a i udes owa d online lea ning. Teache e lec ions we e also included o e alua e
pedagogical implica ions.

speak in English. Many lea ne s epo ed eeling mo e com o able speaking in online
en i onmen s han in ace- o- ace classes, as digi al ools educed anxie y and allowed
mo e p epa a ion ime. Pla o ms like Flipg id encou aged lea ne s o eco d and e-
eco d hei esponses, leading o be e p onuncia ion and luency.
Fu he mo e, he use o b eakou ooms in Zoom p omo ed pai and g oup in e ac ion,
inc easing lea ne s’ con idence and pa icipa ion. Online discussions also p o ided
immedia e eedback om bo h eache s and pee s, which enhanced sel -awa eness and
mo i a ion. Howe e , some challenges eme ged, including uns able in e ne
connec i i y and limi ed access o quali y de ices. Teache s also aced di icul ies in
moni o ing all s uden s du ing online sessions. Despi e hese limi a ions, mos lea ne s
exp essed ha online speaking ac i i ies helped hem become mo e con iden and
au onomous English speake s.
Conclusion
The s udy concludes ha online ools play a i al ole in de eloping EFL lea ne s’
speaking skills. They c ea e in e ac i e en i onmen s whe e lea ne s can communica e
au hen ically, ecei e eedback, and build con idence in using English. Fo e ec i e
implemen a ion, eache s should combine online ools wi h communica i e asks ha
os e c ea i i y and collabo a ion. I is also impo an o p o ide digi al aining o
bo h eache s and s uden s o ensu e he success ul in eg a ion o echnology in o
language ins uc ion. In he Uzbek educa ional con ex , using online pla o ms can
signi ican ly ex end speaking oppo uni ies beyond he adi ional class oom and help
