con inue engaging in becoming a gigolo. Many ac o s
need o conside in explaining why people do such
jobs. These h ee (3) hemes explain he easons why
people engage and choose o con inue he job.
1. Money dic a es
Money is he e y eason why people become a gigolo.
This heme explains he con ibu ion o money in
in luencing he will o e e y gigolo in doing he job.
In o man 1 emphasized he impo ance o money
why he does he job, and he s a ed ha :
Numbe 1 jud si kanang kwa a gyud. Kwa a gyud

Wala. Kay ang kana gud amuang mu kuan me ana,

(Numbe 1 Si is money. Money Si , so ha I ha e

In o man 4 also suppo ed he s a emen o
In o man 1 abou he in luence o money in doing he
job mos no ably ha he in o man s ill s udying, he
said ha :
Kwa ..kwa a pe o pi mi o jud si kana gyung

(Money, bu i all s a ed om inancial eason Si ,
mos no ably ha I’m s ill s udying o my allowance.
Fo my allowance, o me o buy wha I wan o buy

enough o my basic needs. Tha ’s why I’m s ill doing
his, and I’m now a ac ed o he . Yes, I’m a li le bi
a ac ed o he , bu again, I ha e a gi l iend).
Becoming a gigolo is also he mos na u al way o
ea ning money. Aside om wo king ha d unde
p essu e and he hea o he sun, being a gigolo
equi es only minimal use o s eng h and bu comes
wi h mo e compensa ion. In o man 6 speci ied and
s a ed ha :
Ahhh, mas dali ang kwa a si , yes si , kaysa sa

Mo eo e , money some imes dic a es he gigolos do

2. Educa ional pu sui
This heme also looked in o he b igh e side o why
people chose o become a gigolo. Almos all o he
in o man s a e s uden s, and ea ning money o und
