phenolic compounds in he human body enhance immuni y agains diseases caused by bac e ia and

i amins, hyd olyzable annins, la onoids, o ganic acids, and o he classes o compounds ha e been
isola ed om plan s o he genus A aphaxis belonging o he amily Polygonaceae, and on hei
basis, medicinal p epa a ions wi h e ec i e biological ac i i y a e widely used in medical p ac ice.
Species o he genus A aphaxis a e mainly highly b anched sh ubs and subsh ubs ha g ow in a id
zones o empe a e s eppe and dese egions o Cen al Asia, Ame ica, and Aus alia. Below, we will
discuss he medicinal p ope ies o ce ain plan s belonging o his amily:

In he s udy o he polyphenols in i s composi ion, he ae ial pa s o he plan we e i s
collec ed and d ied in a cool place. Two hund ed g ams o he plan ma e ial we e weighed, and h ee
successi e ex ac ions we e ca ied ou a oom empe a u e o 24 hou s each wi h 70% ace one a a
1:5 a io. The ace one ex ac s we e il e ed and concen a ed using a o a y e apo a o a 50 °C. The
concen a ed ex ac was ac iona ed wi h e hyl ace a e. The e hyl ace a e ac ion ob ained was
e apo a ed using a o a y e apo a o a 30 °C. The esul ing concen a e was p ecipi a ed wi h
chlo o o m.
