The pu pose o he esea ch: o de elop me hods o op imal en ichmen o na u al clay mine als

Me hods and echniques: K an au mine ben oni e (KP) and Na baho alkaline ben oni e (NIB),
which a e widesp ead in ou coun y, we e selec ed as he objec o he esea ch. En ichmen o he
selec ed esea ch objec s wi h espec o mon mo illoni e, he main mine al wi h high adso p ion
p ope ies, was ca ied ou as ollows: he sample was mixed in dis illed wa e (pH=6.6) and wa e in
a mass a io o 1:10 o o m a suspension o 100 g. In o de o con e he calcium ben oni e con ained
in he suspension in o i s sodium o m and p ecipi a e Ca2+ and o he Me2+ ions, Na2CO3 was added
in he amoun o 0.5% o he solid sample mass, he suspension was s i ed in a magne ic s i e o
15 minu es and allowed o s and o 48 hou s. Then he suspension was dilu ed wi h wa e in a a io
o 1:5 while s i ing. In his p ocess, Ca2+, Fe2+, Fe3+ sal s, qua z and o he wa e -insoluble subs ances
wi h high dispe sibili y a e sepa a ed in o he sedimen . Du ing he i s 20 minu es, he uppe pa o
he suspension was sepa a ed om he pa ha had se led by decan a ion. The esul ing suspension
was sepa a ed om he solid phase by cen i uga ion. The ion indica o s o each s age we e
de e mined on he IM-160 de ice, he ob ained esul s a e p esen ed in Figu e 1. In o ma ion abou
he s uc u e o en iched clay mine als can be de e mined by he mal analysis. Simul aneous dynamic
he mog a ime ic and calo ime ic analyzes we e ob ained using a Se a am Labsys e o appa a us.

Conclusion: Based on he analysis o he ob ained esul s, i can be concluded ha he change
