While pa icipa ion has been a key elemen in EU in eg a ion o decades, i has o en been na owly
applied, in ol ing only selec ed s akeholde s o decision-make s. This app oach ends o exclude
di e se and o en ma ginalized ac o s, pa icula ly hose who do no go e n o pa icipa e in
(es ablished) o ganiza ions wi h a de ined adminis a i e s uc u e. In o de o os e collabo a ion,
inno a ion, and knowledge sha ing, BBioNe s in ends o ac i ely engage a wide ange o s akeholde s
-ac oss sec o s, disciplines, and communi ies- ensu ing ha di e se pe spec i es con ibu e o a
bioeconomy wi h economically iable and sus ainable p ac ices.
