Pain is a complex physiological and psychological expe ience. While acu e pain ac s as a
p o ec i e mechanism, ch onic pain is a pe sis en condi ion ha se es no biological pu pose. I

Causes o Ch onic Pain
The causes o ch onic pain a e mul i ac o ial. They can include:

2. Ne e Dys unc ion: Abno mal ne e signaling leading o neu opa hic pain.
3. Ch onic Diseases: Condi ions like diabe es, a h i is, o cance can igge ongoing pain.

Psychological he apy: Cogni i e beha io al he apy (CBT) helps pa ien s cope wi h emo ional
dis ess.
Li es yle changes: Heal hy die , sleep hygiene, and s ess educ ion.

Pa ien educa ion and emo ional suppo play a key ole in long- e m managemen .
Conclusion
Ch onic pain is no only a medical issue bu also a social and psychological one. Unde s anding
