skills—lis ening, speaking, eading, and w i ing—while p omo ing collabo a ion and c i ical
hinking. The pu pose o his s udy is o analyze he e ec i eness o didac ic games in Ge man
language lessons and o iden i y s a egies o hei success ul in eg a ion in o he cu iculum.
2. Me hods
The esea ch employed a quali a i e app oach. Da a we e collec ed h ough class oom
obse a ions, eache in e iews, and s uden eedback su eys conduc ed a a seconda y
school whe e Ge man was augh as a second o eign language.

Vocabula y games (e.g., “Wo scha z Bingo,” “Memo y Ma ch”)
G amma games (e.g., “Sen ence Race,” “Find he Mis ake”)
Role-play and simula ion games (e.g., “A he Res au an ,” “T a el Agen ”)

Types o Didac ic Games in Ge man Teaching
1. Vocabula y Games – e.g., Memo y, Bingo, Wo d Domino, o Hangman o lea ning new
wo ds.
2. G amma Games – e.g., sen ence-building aces, e b conjuga ion challenges, o “g amma
puzzles.”
3. Speaking Games – e.g., Role-plays, Find Someone Who, o Dialog Chain ac i i ies.
4. Lis ening Games – e.g., Simon Says (Mach, was ich sage!) o Sound Bingo.
5.W i ing Games – e.g., S o y Cubes o collabo a i e s o y w i ing.

Ge man o “buy” and “sell” i ems. This game eaches p ac ical ocabula y (numbe s, ood,
p ices) and encou ages spon aneous speaking in ealis ic con ex s.
3. Resul s
The s udy ound ha didac ic games signi ican ly inc eased s uden s’ mo i a ion and
pa icipa ion. Lea ne s who we e p e iously hesi an o speak in Ge man became mo e
con iden du ing game-based ac i i ies.
Quan i a i e esul s showed a 25% imp o emen in ocabula y e en ion and a 30% inc ease in
o al communica ion sco es. Teache s also epo ed ha class oom dynamics became mo e
posi i e, wi h imp o ed pee coope a ion and educed anxie y du ing speaking asks.
