УЗБЕКСКОМ ЯЗЫКАХ)”
Аннотация: В данном исследовании рассматриваются основные терминологические
понятия, направления развития и организационные формы современного экотуризма на
основе сравнительных материалов на английском и узбекском языках. По мере глобального
роста экотуризма необходимость точной и унифицированной терминологии становится все
более важной для научных исследований, образования и устойчивой практики. В работе
анализируются ключевые понятия, такие как устойчивый туризм, природно-
ориентированный туризм, ответственное путешествие и общинный экотуризм, с акцентом
на сходства и различия их употребления в английских и узбекских источниках. Кроме того,
исследуются основные направления современного экотуризма, включая сохранение
биоразнообразия, защиту культурного наследия и расширение возможностей местных
сообществ. Также рассматриваются различные организационные формы — такие как
туризм в охраняемых природных территориях, сельский экотуризм, приключенческий
экотуризм и волонтерский туризм. Компаративный лингвистический подход исследования
способствует более глубокому пониманию терминологии экотуризма и поддерживает
развитие стандартизированного употребления терминов в обоих языках.

In ecen decades, eco ou ism has eme ged as one o he mos dynamic and apidly de eloping sec o s

b idge be ween na u e conse a ion and socio-economic g ow h. Despi e i s global ele ance,
eco ou ism emains a complex and mul i-dimensional phenomenon, equi ing p ecise e minological
de ini ions, clea concep ual amewo ks, and comp ehensi e unde s anding o i s a ious di ec ions
and o ms. These challenges a e pa icula ly impo an in mul ilingual con ex s, whe e e minological
di e ences may in luence how eco ou ism is unde s ood, de eloped, and p omo ed. Examining he

e minology. Fo example, Abdullaye a (in he wo k “Scien i ic-Theo e ical and Me hodological

p oposes amewo ks o he classi ica ion and analysis o eco ou ism e ms. [ 2- 74,77] Rela ed o
his, esea ch in o lexico-seman ic me hods shows how e ms in bo h English and Uzbek a e o med,
e ol e, and en e he e minological sys em. [ 3- 246,248]
The e m “ ou ism” has e ol ed o e cen u ies, bo h linguis ically and concep ually, o
ep esen a complex social, cul u al, economic, and en i onmen al phenomenon. E ymologically, he
wo d “ ou ism” is oo ed in he La in e b o na e, meaning “ o u n (on a la he),” and in he ancien
G eek o nos (τόρνος), which e e s o a la he o a ci cula mo ion. The no ion is one o a ci cula
jou ney — lea ing om a poin and e en ually e u ning o i . The su ix “-ism,” deno ing ac ion o
p ac ice, u ns ou in o ou ism, li e ally implying he ac i i y o making a ci cui o jou ney. [3-
24.26] His o ically, he mode n concep o ou ism eme ged in he 17 h and 18 h cen u ies. The so-
called “G and Tou ,” popula among young Eu opean a is oc a s, exempli ies his: hese long
jou neys ac oss he Eu opean con inen we e no jus pleasu e ips bu also educa ional oyages o
cul u al and a is ic en ichmen . [ 4- 45, 48] O e ime, as anspo a ion echnologies ad anced and
a el became mo e accessible, “ ou ism” cemen ed i s meaning as a el away om one’s usual
en i onmen o pleasu e, lea ning, o business. Thus, when we speak o “ ou ism,” we e e no jus
o a el in he li e al sense, bu o a s uc u ed, o en cyclical, cul u al and economic p ac ice shaped
by his o ical de elopmen s.
De ini ion and Eme gence o Eco ou ism.
Wi hin he b oad ield o ou ism, eco ou ism has eme ged since he la e 20 h cen u y as a dis inc
niche ha explici ly links a el wi h en i onmen al e hics. The e m “eco ou ism” is commonly
a ibu ed o Héc o Ceballos-Lascu áin, a Mexican a chi ec and conse a ionis . In 1987, Ceballos-
Lascu áin de ined eco ou ism as: “ a eling o ela i ely undis u bed o uncon amina ed na u al a eas
wi h he speci ic objec i e o s udying, admi ing, and enjoying he scene y and i s wild plan s and
animals, as well as any exis ing cul u al mani es a ions (bo h pas and p esen ) ound in hese a eas.
”He u he emphasized ha eco ou ism “implies a scien i ic, es he ic, o philosophical app oach,”
al hough an eco ou is need no be a p o essional scien is , a is , o philosophe . [5-34,36] Wha

[6-56,58] This emphasizes esponsibili y, conse a ion, and social bene i — h ee co e pilla s o

i a emp s o econcile wo o en compe ing goals: en i onmen al conse a ion and local
socioeconomic de elopmen . F om he en i onmen al pe spec i e, eco ou ism is seen as a
mechanism o incen i ize he p o ec ion o na u al a eas. By b inging ou is s o ela i ely undis u bed
ecosys ems, eco ou ism can gene a e income ha suppo s conse a ion e o s, such as habi a
p ese a ion, biodi e si y moni o ing, and sus ainable esou ce managemen . Ceballos-Lascu áin

appealing heo e ical amewo k, eco ou ism aces p ac ical and e hical challenges. Fi s , de ini ional
ambigui y emains a p oblem: no all “na u e-based” ou ism quali ies as eco ou ism. Some ou ism
ope a ions labeled “eco” may simply exploi na u al a eas wi hou eal conse a ion o communi y
bene i s. Second, e en well-in en ioned eco ou ism can ha e nega i e en i onmen al impac . The
p esence o ou is s, howe e limi ed, can dis u b wildli e, in oduce pollu ion, and s ain agile
ecosys ems. To ul ill Ceballos-Lascu áin’s ision o low-impac , scien i ically o
philosophically in o med imme sion, ca e ul planning, managemen , and moni o ing a e equi ed.

Empi ically, his econcilia ion depends on: The educa ion and a i ude o ou is s: Do eco ou is s
genuinely engage in low-impac , espec ul beha io , o do hey ea he en i onmen as a backd op
o ec ea ion? The economic model: Does e enue om eco ou ism low back o conse a ion and

highligh he local ecological po en ial, na ional p io i ies, and cul u al alues ha shape how
eco ou ism is unde s ood and implemen ed wi hin he coun y. The compa a i e examina ion o
