human capi al de elopmen . While hese s udies assess he economic e ec s o unemploymen , hey

o mo e ocused and e ec i e policy esponses.

The idea makes i possible o examine how economic ha dship, especially unemploymen ,
con ibu es o iolence and secu i y isks. The heo y does a good job o highligh ing he
psychological elemen s ha lead young people wi hou jobs o engage in iolen beha io , e en
hough i is unable o ully accoun o all o he socioeconomic o ces a wo k. Examining he
speci ic causes o c iminali y and insu gency pa icipa ion, which a e gene ally dis ega ded in mo e
comp ehensi e socio-economic assessmen s, equi es a psychological ocus (Onyekwena &
Eke uche, 2019). Second, because i implies ha one o he main causes o na ional secu i y issues is
unemploymen us a ion, he heo y is consis en wi h empi ical da a in Nige ia, whe e you h
unemploymen has been ound o co espond wi h ising insecu i y (Oluwaseun & Lekan, 2018).

g oup discussions (FGD) and key in o man in e iews (KII) o he su ey. The decision was made
because i allowed he esea che o lea n mo e abou he esponden s' de ailed pe spec i es and he
many si ua ions ela ed o he opic a hand. In o ma ion om books, jou nal a icles, go e nmen
documen s, o icial and ins i u ional documen s like he go e nmen gaze e, and o he pe inen
li e a u e like con e ence pape s, pe iodicals, unpublished pape s, and o he ela ed ma e ials we e
ga he ed o he documen a y me hod.
In o de o analyze gene a ed da a abou he s udy and iden i y pa e ns in he communica ion con en
o hese ma e ials, he s udy employs con en analysis. The e o e, con en analysis is a quali a i e
esea ch echnique ha en ails a me hodical assessmen o ex s in o de o in e p e and code ex ual
