2.2 Job demand: In o mal elewo k and wo k-

Ne e heless, elewo k can also in ol e new wo k demands
(Abend o h and Reimann 2018; Gla in and Schieman 2012;
Lo 2019). We assume ha in o mal elewo k du ing paid
o unpaid o e ime could especially inc ease he likelihood
ha wo k om home in ol es high wo k demands and mo e

se es employe s’ in e es s in lexibili y and a ec s a ail-

an e en mo e p e alen si ua ion in an in o mal se ing, be-

In addi ion o he challenges posed by ex a wo k wi h

ha he p opo ion spen in in o mal elewo k inc eased he

o exhaus ion (Golden 2012). Wo k- amily con lic s can
become appa en when occupa ional oles cons an ly ex-

a Finnish s udy u he suppo his assump ion: in o mal

o neglec ing amily demands due o wo k and he pa ne s’
pe cep ion ha he esponden was wo king oo ha d (Ojala

Thus, i can be p esumed ha in o mal elewo k is a de-
